A huge thank you to our community partner Berkeley Homes and their Head of Sustainability for East Thames, Paloma Algarra Resino, who generously sponsored the newest addition to our Charlton site playground - this fantastic custom-made sandpit! The sandpit was delivered by @palletsforpurpose through their Project Lead Darren Santer and Master Carpenter Florin Rusu who designed and constructed the structure using wood from recycled pallets, helping the environment while creating better playtimes for our pupils. Playtimes have never been better! #communitypartnership #opal

This week, 5A & 5B have visited Creekside in Deptford. The children took part in a very exciting river walk, learning about the features of a river, experiencing how fast the river was flowing after a morning of rain, carrying out an experiment to find out how fast the water was flowing and even a spot of fishing! π£This was then followed by a session learning more about the river and its uses by looking at artefacts found in the river.π
Thank you @creeksidediscoverycentre for a fantastic day of learning!
5C & 5T are looking forward to going tomorrow! #riverexploration #creekside

The star bakers in RB made their own loaves of bread last week. Everyone in class got to taste a slice and Naylah gave it a "10 out of 10" which is even better than a Paul Hollywood handshake! π#starbakers
