Well... I made it. It ended up being a 38km bike ride from my house to the ferry at Queenscliff. I gave myself 1:09 minutes and I made it in 1:08!! Phew 😅 I do enjoy the thrill of the chase but that was close !!! #nearlymissedit #ridelikeagirl #ferry
Last month I got to ride with @littlemsmtb at Anglesea. I’d never really met her other than on social media really. Had a ball!!! Now today I rode with @turboturtle_kym who has been in contact with me over social media too. And I had never met her either! So whilst social media does have its downfalls I continually find I meet some pretty awesome people as a result. You have still got to take the risk and make an investment in developing friendships! 2:50pm and I’ve been out of bed twice. I’ve finally been hit by this cold. Whilst I could get out and about and “drug” up the keep in the game I’ve decided my best course of recovery is solid rest in bed. So I will have to start my cycling related fitness plan next week with Freddy fresh legs! Bonus.

Food is fuel. Food is medicine. Food connects the mind and body. It’s got to be good. It’s got to taste phenomenal. It’s got to serve a purpose. The only way I’m going to keep happy healthy and Reach my goals is to eat more mindfully. I cooked the potato and sweet potato whilst in shower post ride. Then quickly whipped up salad with beetroot carrot kale and spinach with a side of hummus. Then added some pan fried tofu marinated in tamari. The plan. I have no big races this year and I’m going to get a really awesome chance to focus on ME! I’ve not had a big chunk of time like this before to really work on a specific goal such as this. “Improve my Best Time up Benwerrin climb by improving my 20min FTP and in turn Watts/kg by losing 5kg and improving my off bike strength” This focus will inadvertently improve all other aspects of my cycling.
