• ✨DON'T BE NERVOUS! / ПРОСТО БУДЬ СОБОЙ ✨

Easy to say, but hard to do!

We have a really nice track record preparing people for important self presentations 💪 Some clients even won money! Check the story of Dr. Hannes Kubel in the slider ☝️

He is a Founder and CEO, whom Olga prepped in just a couple of hours 🎉

To prepare for job interviews well you need

➡️to pay attention to the company's values and current goals. So check their website and you job description at the very least.

➡️ good understanding of who you are professionally and what you want (most people need help here, since this requires a very good understanding of the job market)

➡️ to know the types of interview questions, that might be asked and be prepared: behavioural questions, stress questions, cases, etc.

💰 You also need to be more or less comfortable talking about money. (Elshad will do a live stream on the topic next Sunday)

🎓When preparing people for the job interviews on our platform, we analyze the answers you recorded and uploaded (check the slider to see what it looks like)

In our detailed written feedback we pay attention not only to what you say, but also to how. We analyze your body language, tone of your voice, etc. 🤓

Currently you can get an HR feedback to 5 questions (most commonly asked and tricky to answer) for 169 Euro. An offer that will expire soon, so keep it in mind.  Link is in the Bio.

Thank you for your 💚, you are the best!

  • ✨JOB INTERVIEW: WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE? / ВАШИ СИЛЬНЫЕ СТОРОНЫ✨

Thanks for your 🤍

In the picture your career branding expert for Germany, Austria and Switzerland - Herr Jurek Rosenhagen, whom some of you already know and love 🤓

So the interview question. What makes you unique?

Can also sound as: What are your strengths? What sets you apart from other candidates? Why should we hire you? 🙋

🎓 This question should test your maturity, ability for self reflection, critical thinking and understanding the interests of stakeholders (employer in this case).

Some ground rules for crafting your answer:

⛔️Don't say that you are just better altogether. Be specific. Pay attention to how you are talking. Avoid boasting, unless you want to look unmanageable.

✅Your strengths should have a lot to do with the core tasks you are going to perform.

✅You should illustrate your statements with examples.

Let say you are being interviewed for a position of a Sales Manager. The answer could sound like this:

✨Very diverse clients consistently told me, that they felt heard and well understood by me. It also affected my success rate. I think, I can say that one of my strengths is emotional and cultural intelligence and active listening, which I could apply to selling any products or services in a non-pushy way.

Or you are interviewed for a position of a team lead:

✨I had multiple experiences when a group of people needed some inspiring. It happened in my private life, for example during my football training, and at work, as our team was below the firms average for two months in a row. I'm a pragmatic optimist by nature, so I can persuade others to see things in a positive way as well. Often by showing some deeper meaning to the ordinary  professional challenges. I regard this as a strength.

What would your strengths be? Let's exercise in the comments. I'll help 👇

  • ✨LAWYERS IN GERMANY, AUSTRIA AND SWITZERLAND / ЮРИСТЫ В DACH✨

It is one of the most uneasy degrees when we speak about working from anywhere in the world.

Most of the Legal Counsel positions available require good command of German and a regional license to practice law.

But there are still some exceptions.

➡️International commercial law and the area of intellectual property are more flexible in terms of language and regional license.

Apart from that you can work in:

➡️Legal Tech companies working on Product, Business Development or Sales

➡️International fundraising and project management for civil rights organizations

➡️Business Analysis and Consulting as a self employed or as a part of consulting agency

🎓Or you just jump through all the hoops, get a local licence and become an officer of law.

⁉️ Are there lawyers among you? What would you prefer? 👇

  • ✨MEET OLGA, A CO-FOUNDER OF CV ABROAD ✨

Since I'm the one writing this blog, I'll just say hello 🙋

I love professionalism. Really, LOVE. Watching somebody being good at their job (any job) fills me with joy, absurd pride and sometimes even makes me cry. Literally.

I'm 33, I tried out a bunch of things, so I know by now that professionalism is rare.

I believe that it is because of a broken system. Transition phase from the "old work" to the new, where too many people get lost in the career jungle.

And if you are a foreigner - you are lost per se! So I wanted to change that.

I partnered with a CTO and experienced hiring manager Elshad, whose engineering background complemented my own (in creative economy, NGOs and communications). And we started to help.

Today over 200 people got our assistance. We had 3 cases where things didn't go smoothly, but since these people are still reading and liking us, I suppose we did ok 🤔

Today I have a feeling, that it is time to try something new. So we are opening a test phase for our....

Our full support program for professionals:

"Land your job in the DACH 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭 and get paid more!"

We offer you a full range of our services FOR FREE until you land a job. As soon as you have it, you start paying. You can do it in 7 installments. 249 Euro per month for young professionals and 499 Euro for experienced ones.

We are only able to take 2 more people till the end of November.

You can apply by sending your CV and Cover Letter (if you have it) to info@cv-abroad.eu

Mention what is your career goal in the DACH for the year 2021 and what steps have you already taken to reach it (where and how many times have you applied, etc.)

If you are not ready yet to really start working on your goal, but you like the idea in theory, put a 5 in the comments below 👇

  • ✨5 REASONS WHY YOU FAIL JOB INTERVIEWS/5 ПРИЧИН ПРОБЛЕМ С СОБЕСЕДОВАНИЯМИ ✨
.
.
.

Thank you for your 💚
.
.
.

A job interview is a negotiation. The reason you fail is the same as for any negotiations: because your initial position is not strong enough 💪

You have this feeling of you being so small and the employer so big and powerful and free to give or not to give you this salary 💰

🕵️What makes you feel weaker than your potential employer?

➡️Lack of understanding of your professional self and the market.

Are you a good pro or a mediocre one? Are there many people like you? What makes you unique? How can you prove it?

➡️No understanding of how to decompose your experience into skills and competencies

You are sure that half of the things in the job description are not about you. How to look for examples that prove your hard skills, soft skills, transferable skills? What is it actually? 🤔

➡️You don't really know what you want

You came to the interview because you got invited. You just need a job. Any job. You haven't even really checked their homepage.

➡️You don't get the hiring criteria

You think that it is a TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE CONVERSATION. Where you are being judged in a way that you can't even imagine... 🐙

When a couple of the upper points mix it simply becomes impossible to truly shine 🦄

And you are the best, remember! 🤍

What is the hardest part in a job interview for you? Tell us 👇

.
.
.
