In 2014 we opened for the king of surf guitar. Unfortunately he was sick even back then, touring to cover the cost of his medical bills. You could see he was in a lot of pain but when he hit the stage you’d never suspect a thing. He hit the stage and shredded for 90 straight minutes, every song seamlessly blending into the next. This was the only photo I got that night, we were too busy getting our faces melted off. After the show, we hung with his bass player and he told us there was never a set list and the keys changed every night. Dick Dale played whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, however he wanted. If you played with him you just strapped in and hung on for the ride. A true original in every sense of the word. Rest in power. #dickdale
A huge thanks to @scrawfordmusic for joining us this weekend!! He absolutely threw down on #guitar and dobro, played some really stunning parts to a sold out crowd at #stonemountainartscenter and was a great guy to travel around with from down in Rhode Island all the way up to Maine. And a special thanks to @jasonanick for sitting in with us @stonemountainartscenter as well, always a thrill to get his virtuosic fiddle skills in the mix. Really brings out something special when we play our country songs. We’ll be announcing a bunch of new tour dates soon, so be sure and stay posted. #🔥
Always good to be back @stonemountainartscenter.
Stayed at the legendary and haunted Genetti last night. Now making our way to @thepurplefiddle in Thomas, West Virginia. #billtown #purplefiddle #seeyoutonight
