Tonight, youth group is going to be a little different from normal, it’ll be a candlelight vigil. We’re taking a week to remember our loved ones who we’ve lost. But not so we all get sad, instead we’re sharing the memories we have about them so that people can know what they meant to us. It’s a somber time. Not that you can’t tell a funny story about someone you knew, or that you have to be completely silent, but it is a serious night to listen to your friends. 6:30-8:20pm at the youth house.
Tonight, instead of youth group, we’re participating in the church tradition of Ash Wednesday. You’ll hear about Lent and preparing for Easter, and then at the end of the service, you can come up and get a cross drawn on your forehead with ashes. It sounds a little strange, but it’ll make more sense once you’re there. I promise it will be a meaningful experience for you, I can’t however promise that the ash won’t contribute to your teenage acne. 6 or 7pm in the main auditorium.
We’re the season of Lent at Stuck in the Middle tomorrow. 10am in the youth house.
Today at 10am until 4pm! Bring $10, warm clothes, and a pair of extra socks. We’ll bring lunch.
Look, sex is right there in the second chapter of the Bible. Today at Stuck in the Middle we’ll start talking about it. What else does the Bible say about sex? Quite a lot! 10am, in the youth house.
Game Night, tonight at 6-10, everywhere in the entire church building. Dinner, games, triumph, defeat, and plenty of sugar.
I know I’m only supposed to post sarcastic and snarky things on here, but tonight really felt important, and I want don’t want to miss the opportunity to tell you again how much we love you and have hope for your future and potential. Maybe you’re like me, and feel like a fairly useless, lonely, unroasted coffee bean. I get that. But you have such potential! You may feel like you contribute nothing to anything important, but just wait, you’re going to get there. And it’s going to be glorious. Look what we made tonight together, from individual lonely beans that together, make something amazing. You are amazing. You are important, and we all love you so much. You are worthwhile.
It’s back tonight at 6:30. I am so sorry.
I got some new balls. See you at youth group tomorrow night.
