It seems like just yesterday that I was sitting in the classroom learning from a local Kansas City wedding planner I greatly admire. As a sophomore in college, I took a wedding planning course taught by @mmcvicker0830. In addition to soaking up all the knowledge Missy so openly shared with me, we were also invited assist with a reception at @madridtheatre. ⠀ ⠀ Today, I have the opportunity to work alongside Missy at The Madrid Theater as we celebrate Beth and Bo. I am so grateful to Missy and all the professionals in the industry that shared their knowledge with me. Without their generosity, Nellie Sparkman Events would not be where it is today!⠀ ⠀ Image @laurafoote⠀ Bridal Gown @altarbridal⠀ Hotel Room @thepresident⠀

New York, you are beautiful, but I am so excited to be back home! What an adventure it was traveling to and from NYC solo with both kids. Thankfully, Josh was there to adventure with us in the evenings and over the weekend. . We ate amazing pizza and Micheal got his hot dog stand fix. We played in parks along Hudson Bay and walked the High Line. We whisked through Times Square and power walked through Central Park. We rode the subway, Ferry to Governor’s island, Uber’s, airplanes and strollers. We consumed local beer in the pubs, gallons of water and a decent amount of Starbucks. We said our prayers at the 9/11 memorials (Micheal requested to pray both the Our Father and Hail Mary). . We made memories. We laughed. We are a lot. We had an amazing time. Kennedy found her voice and started to crawl. Micheal discovered hide a beds and “loves everything about the trip!” Thank you, New York for the adventure of a lifetime.
Would You Rather Wednesday: Flats perfect for dancing or fabulous heels that make a statement? ⠀ ⠀ More often than not, we see our brides go down the aisle wearing killer heels and switch to a comfort for dancing the night away. ⠀ Image @heirloomphotocompany
July has been jam packed. First, a family vacation to New York (Josh is working here, so the kids and I thought we would come play!) ⠀ ⠀ As soon as we return, we have a full two weeks of fun! Our team will be sending Beth and Bo down the aisle, attending KC Plans, a wonderful event planned by @eventsbyelle for Kansas City wedding planners, coordinating The Wedding Experience (don’t forget to buy your tickets) and then Kasey and Jeff become husband and wife! Whew! It’s going to be a fun-filled, action packed two weeks.⠀ ⠀ What is on your agenda the rest of July?
