  • I struggle with the right words. There are no words I can say to anyone of color as I don’t walk in their shoes. I can tell you over 25 years ago I had to hail taxis in NYC for Black men that had WAY more money and were WAY more successful than I was because no taxi driver would stop for them... I did not believe it. I should say I never even thought about it until I saw it for myself. I would hail the taxi and my friend would get in. I can’t believe nothing has changed in 25 years. To me it is SO important that we ALL surround ourselves with people of all colors, growing up in Queens I didn’t see color, I saw friends, our classrooms were mixed, our streets were mixed however, I do see how living in the suburbs can keep our circles narrow. We need to do better. We need to ALL expand our circles. I hope we can do better, we have to. #ripgeorgefloyd #narrowcirclenarrowmind
