Sometimes I forget that being grateful is a choice. It is too easy to get caught up in a cycle of negativity and daily drudgery. So today, I chose to make a list. It seemed appropriate to take a moment to just be filled with gratitude for the blessings in my life. Here are my 5 reasons to give thanks today:⠀ ⠀ 1. I am thankful for family & friends that are like family; for being able to share turkey dinners & make pies & drink and laugh and just be.⠀ ⠀ 2. I am thankful for my husband, who has always been my biggest fan; who tells me daily that I *can*.⠀ ⠀ 3. I am thankful for the gift of making my living as a creative and being in charge of my destiny. Making images is something that is easy to do, but hard to master. Always growing. Always striving for perfection in light, composition & emotion. 4. I am thankful for my clients, for allowing me to do this work that *matters*. Creating these heirloom images for families, a record of their lives and love, *matters.* It is a gift and I am grateful for the trust.⠀ 5. Today I am thankful for warm socks, leftover pie & kitty cuddles 🐱🐱 .... sometimes it really is the little things 💕⠀ ⠀ Here’s my challenge to you: take some time today, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, and create your own list of things you are thankful for. Even if it doesn’t come naturally, don’t let that stop you from finding gratitude.
