Today is Employee Appreciation Day and after the challenges of the past year, we feel there has never been a more important time to show appreciation to our team here at West End on the Thames. Over the past 12 months, they've been forced to stop what they love doing - hosting events. This period has been full of uncertainty and challenges and therefore, extremely difficult for them. Monday's government announcement has given the events industry a date to work towards - June 21st. This is the day which has been earmarked for when all legal limits on social contact are likely to be removed. Of course, progress with the vaccination programme and falling infection rates and hospitalisation numbers need to continue for this to happen. But we can now be confident that summer events WILL go ahead this year - which is great news. What we do know is demand is expected to be very high for both wedding receptions and corporate events. With these having to be put on hold in 2020, many that were postponed can now finally happen. Coupled with new bookings as we are reunited after such a long time apart. We're here to help make sure this is a summer to remember, but we would recommend making your enquiry as soon as possible so we can do all we can to make your event happen. It's also important to note that while the government plan to lift all social distance restrictions on June 21st, this is not guaranteed and will rely on the data. However, if this does happen then we will move the date of your event again, free of charge. It's National Apprenticeship Week in the UK and here at West End on the Thames, we are celebrating.
