A message from two sad Noted co leads. The @usagca has officially decided to cancel Noted 2020. The cancellation decision itself was not difficult—the world is grappling with an issue of enormous scale, and the health of all members of our community is paramount—but it was nonetheless hard because of the incredible amount of work so many of us have volunteered to prepare for our industry’s premier event. We are so sorry that we will not get to see each other’s amazing work nor be able to connect and learn from each other in the way we planned. In the coming weeks we will be exploring new ways to connect and share all of the amazing things everyone has been preparing to launch in May. Join us on Noted: The Forum to help shape the future. Open to retailers, reps, makers and all industry support. Link in the profile. A final word: greeting cards are the best connection to bridge the social distancing now required of each of us. Be a part of the cure to social distancing: write and mail a greeting card today. #noted2020 #angrysad #wewillreturn #bridgethedistance #greetingcards #stationery #paperlover #paperaddict
These are our current feelings in this time of uncertainty and rapidly changing information related to COVID-19. The Noted team and the @usagca are closely monitoring the developments, and our thoughts are with everyone that has been impacted. The main reason we launched Noted was to provide an in person event where the community could gather, learn, and where each maker could personally show the world their amazing product. The community’s well being is obviously one of our highest priorities and we are taking the current global situation very seriously. We are in contact with Ft. Mason, our exhibitors, our retailer friends, and our industry partners producing trade shows across the country. Additionally, our partner @artmarketproductions is connected with the site and the city through their production of Art Market San Francisco. This community of partners will help us not only stay informed but make the best decisions going forward. At this time, we are still planning on holding Noted in May. In the very near term, the @usagca leadership will be working together to measure the impact on the industry, the Association, and the Noted community. This data, with the continued updates on COVID-19 and from our partners, will allow us to make an informed decision very soon. Please stay healthy and more info soon. #fucovid19 #noted2020picks
