Took a trip down to Clinton to take Yareli & Martins engagement pictures. Oklahoma really has some hidden gems all over so I knew when she asked me to come to her it would be absolutely worth it!! Way too much fun shooting til the sun went down 🤩

I first met Rosalia & Juan when I took their Christmas photos last year. I later found out these two get their pictures taken often and they came back to me when it was time to take some anniversary photos. I could’ve sworn it was both of their idea with how happy Juan was to take these with her. 😩👏🏻can’t wait to see you guys again and give you more memories like this❤️

If he cries during the first look that doesn’t mean he won’t cry when he sees you walking down the aisle!! Don’t let that stop you from enjoying this special moment alone together before the ceremony😭❣️

Graphic by @lifebymj . Go to her page to read other actionable things you can do for black out Tuesday. . 📚BOOK CLUB— please join me and 4 others (currently) for a book club!! I’ve always turned to books when I needed to understand, learn, and grow. I want to do my part by not only learning but also keeping others accountable to start these books and finish them, take notes, and discuss them. I want to learn with you and encourage you to not stop at social media as we are trying to do more to understand and be there for our brothers and sisters. We are starting with “white fragility”. I’ve heard many raves about this book and personally got a recommendation from a friend. When I first saw the title, I didn’t think I needed to read this one... but I later realized that I know I would benefit from it regardless of what I *think* from the cover and that is exactly why I knew I needed to. It’s going to take a while, but we’ve got to (me included) keep at it to really make changes. Dm me to join!!

I come from a family of business owners that all started from nothing. But I still didn’t ever think I’d own a business one day. My dad really wanted me to get a degree in healthcare, a nursing degree. I got my associates in medical assisting but I didn’t feel fulfilled. I felt like I had to live out my calling. #YOLO I had always kept this passion of mine for when I had time. Not knowing that as I got older, it wasn’t that I was going to magically get time to do what I love, I had to make time. In 2017 I took the first step and went to a business seminar with @brandon__burton . I won some type of certificate to invest in him again and I took that as a sign that I needed to keep going. (I’m all about signs) After that I created my business Facebook and Instagram. But I was still scared. I went on to invest thousands and thousands in my education with #noregrets because I knew I was going to make sure I put in the work. Scared & unsure, I kept going. Here I am, fourth year shooting, second year doing weddings and I couldn’t feel more fulfilled. I was made for this. Coming from a traditional immigrant family makes it hard to go after “dreams” because our parents worked so hard for us to “be someone” in the states with a career they couldn’t get themselves. However, it makes us work our asses off even harder to show them we can do it. At the end of the day, my happiness matters and my parents know & accept that. In my family we have a mechanic, a tire shop owner, 2 online store owners, carpenter, remodeling business owner, and now a photographer.

After their sparkler exit, Jonathan took Linsey to the spot where he first asked her to be his & where he proposed. The rain would not let up, and the sun was gone.— Linsey had no idea of the plans he had for their first dance as husband and wife. Plans had to be completely changed, guest list too. Most of the wedding turned out totally different due to covid but he still wanted her to have this special moment. I have to say, this is my proudest work. There was no light set-up. The conditions weren’t “ideal” (literally I was getting rained on just covering up my camera with a trash bag), but I had my speaker playing their song & none of those things mattered. Its capturing moments like this that make my job so fulfilling. This is what I live for - Making sure I go above & beyond so you have moments like this to cherish & relive forever. #showthereal #loveisntcancelled

So I’m doing something that’s really different and it’s happening this Friday. After lots of investing in my education (business, finance, even artistically) I am revamping my prices and announcing with a sale! The part that’s really different and nothing like I have ever done is how the sale is going to be run. It’s only going to be live & available for purchase for 30 minutes 😬😬 thassss it! To see more about how this works and the deets, click the link in my bio!

Did you guys see that sunset last night? 😍 It ended up raining a lot in Lone Grove, OK. So the wedding was moved all indoors. The room where the ceremony was held had large windows and as soon as I started seeing all of the color in the sky behind them, I had them come outside with me to use it as an epic backdrop. Gotta use what you can!! We definitely made the most of changed plans last night with a super special surprise at the end of the day and it brought lots of happy tears! This was my favorite from the sunset shots but I have so many other favorites I’ll be sharing soon! ❤️✨

Happy wedding day Linsey & Jonathan! Despite everything that has happened and is still happening, these two are going to become one today and I am SO over joyed for them. The patience, kindness, & faith these two have shown in the chaos has honestly been amazing. I’m going to give my all capturing today for these two no matter what ❤️✨

Making the most out of a sucky situation. Corona made them reschedule their wedding so CC decided to use that and run with it. We had a corona theme reschedule session so their guests could #savethenewdate. We seriously had a freaking blast and I did my best to capture all the laughs and the fails 🤣 she texted me after she saw them and told me they were laughing all over again so I say that was a success! After our session we just talked, drank a little, and didn’t realize how late it was getting. Seriously enjoyed spending time with them and now we are all feeling excited about the wedding again 💃🏽🕺🏻 Swipe to see some fails and good laughs!!

It’s getting close to that time (even though it doesn’t feel like it today) where it gets so hot that we feel like we can’t be outside for very long. If you’re thinking about having a shoot or have one planned for this summer you might think, “omg my sweat is gonna show” or “my makeup is gonna melt”. I hear you. I feel you. First I want to say, If hot weather is a concern for you, know that it is not nearly as hot when the sun is setting than during the day. I can shoot in any type of lighting and any time of day but golden hour is one of my favorite times for this reason and many others. Second, I can bring what we need to fix makeup, blot faces, and even cool you off if it’s a superrr hot day. Third, if you’re feeling adventurous we can even end up shooting in the water to cool off at the end! Guaranteed this will not only feel good but also be so fun💦 & lastly, If you’re worried about sweat marks showing in photos, wear a color that doesn’t show sweat very much and I can do my best to to help out when editing. Summer shooting isn’t so bad! Don’t let that make you wait. We gotta work with whatever oklahoma wants to give us and make the most of it! I’m ready to give you bomb photos regardless!
