Are you ready to say goodbye to 2020! I'm happy to say goodbye but I am #extremelygrateful for making it through unscathed. It's been a teachable and telling year full of ups and downs. In moments of despair, I became more vigilant and #intentional about cleaning up any negative thoughts. I channeled my energy into positive, productive and challenging activities: walking a virtual mile challenge (logged 275 miles 👏), participating in #the100dayproject2020 (made it to day 42😏) and, drumroll please, completing the editing and design phase of my book 👏👏👏! So I guess my three words are #GRATEFUL,#INTENTIONAL and #CHALLENGING. How about you? What three words describe your 2020 experience?

It’s #minimalisttholidaydecor this year. No ornaments, only lights. Just not feeling it this year and wasn’t going force myself to do otherwise. At night, I turn off all the house lights, sit quietly, give thanks and think about better tomorrows.

Normally, my pajama days are reserved for inclement weather weekends when I don't have to venture outside. Today, I made an exception. Since my usual morning walk was cancelled by our first major snowstorm and I don't have any Zoom sessions to attend, I decided to nix getting dressed, head over to my workspace and make it a #pajamaworkday instead. Maybe I'll upgrade into some loungewear later on, but for now I'm good. 😀 How about you?

It’s one thing to make a conscious decision to tune into reality show theatrics, but when the dysfunctional drama becomes part of the everyday, it’s exhausting and counterproductive to one’s spirit. I look forward to civility, decency and empathy being returned to the daily narrative.

2020 life continues to be challenging. I liken it to a constant tug of war, full of highs and lows, hopes and disappointment. It takes intentional effort to keep your spirits up. I’ve been relying on my bag of tricks more and more, to reverse a downward spiral before it gets out of hand. I journal, create, read something inspiring, or recall a funny experience or conversation to readjust my thoughts. Sometimes it takes a combination of things to stop or prevent descent down a pesky rabbit hole.
