I had a consultation with a bride today. She has been with her fiancé for 5 years. I don’t remember her exact words, but she said something along the lines of “I am so excited to marry him. That’s what matters to me most.” _____ I loved that. The most important part of your wedding is the fact that at the end of the day, you’ll be married. Sometimes I wish it was more socially acceptable to do whatever you want for your wedding day. To do whatever it is that will make you and your fiancé happiest, whether that’s eating tacos, hiking up a mountain, dancing, all night, having a big traditional wedding or saying your vows with 5 other people under a tree in your backyard followed by nothing but cake. I have this vision of jumping into the ocean and going swimming after my wedding ceremony because I know that would make me so happy. _____ So here’s to pursuing a wedding beyond social expectation and a marriage beyond a wedding.
It is 65 and sunny in Delaware today and I LOVE it. Currently walking around in shorts and a tank top as I write this. During Steph and Carl’s engagement session, it was about 30 degrees in the middle of December. But you would never know by looking at them!
Big Sur views 🌊 Landscapes like this are my favorite. I love where cliffs and oceans come together.
Just married vibes _____ I love this moment right after the ceremony when bride and groom get to walk down the aisle together as husband and wife for the very first time. _____ In other news, I’m actually in California right now! I just finished driving through Big Sur, and it was amazing. Photos coming soon. 🌊
I was going to write a caption about Savannah and oak trees, but I feel like my flannel is the real star of this photo. When traveling for fun, I tend to do nothing with my hair, go without makeup, and wear the same combos of tank tops and leggings everyday. But most importantly, this blue flannel goes everywhere with me. I’ve had it for years, and it might be my favorite piece of clothing I own. Now ya know. But don’t worry. I don’t wear this flannel to weddings. 😉 photo by my dad.
Mmmmm sunsets 🌅
