I loveeee a good dance party. There is a solid 95% chance that I will probably dance at some point during a wedding. Pretty sure I took this photo from inside a dance circle.
Happy Friday! This weekend I’m going on a camping trip tomorrow then leading a kayaking trip with @delaventure_de on Sunday. It’s gonna be a good one!
Hey there! It's me. Here are a few random facts about me: I'm originally from Dayton, Ohio, and my parents visited me from Ohio last week. My dad took this photo on me in Smith Island, Maryland. He's good right? I manage 3 other Instagram accounts other than this one. My personal account is @abbyventure, I run an outdoor adventure club over at @delaventure_de, and I oversee all social media for @destateparks. It can be exhausting sometimes, so I’ve been trying to be more patient with myself and be ok if I don’t post everywhere every day. My favorite place in all of Delaware is Cape Henlopen State Park, and probably 90% of my couples sessions are there. I used to work at that park, and I could quite literally talk about it all day. And last: I don't like peanut butter, tomatoes, or avocados. I've tried really hard to like all 3, but I just can't do it.
Even though Laura and Will live in San Diego now, Laura grew up in Wilmington near this field. Laura chose this location for their session because in her words, it “speaks to my soul.” I love it when a location means so much to a couple!
Thania and Garrett were married in the backyard of Garrett’s family riverfront cabin. I loved their venue because it meant so much to the two of them. With a traditional wedding venue like a banquet hall, the space is just a location. You may never return, and only drive by it now and then. Its just that-a venue. But for Garrett and Thania, years from now, they will be able to stand in this exact spot and remember how they promised their life to each other right here. They will be able to continue making memories here for years to come. One day they may get to show this view to their kids. This is why I believe the best wedding venues are those that mean something to you.
Elisabeth and Tim’s engagement session is on the BLOG! We had the best night running through sand dunes, splashing in the water, and watching the sunset over the Delaware Bay. I loved this session so much, and feel like these two really brought out the best of my photography style. Don’t miss this one! (Link in bio)
