Do you have plants in your #wfh office set up? 🪴 In December, I started chatting with you all about what your #workfromhome office set ups look like and if you incorporate your plant collections in them. I started #plantywfh for us to track our community's WFH planty set ups for inspiration and man you plant friends are IMPRESSIVE. 🪴 This made me dive deeper into the concepts behind Biophilic Design and why we crave plants in our environment so much, and this weeks episode of Bloom and Grow Radio is all about what I found out! 🪴 We review: - the 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design and how we can apply them to our WFH set ups - Why it is more important than EVER to have plants in our space (raise your hand if you struggle with screen addiction or mental fatigue) - My tips for how to get creative with your WFH office space and transform it into your #plantywfh - I review the #plantywfh pictures of our community and give tips based off of YOU guys Special thanks to those #plantywfh set ups who were featured (and you can see many more in the pinned stories) @villaesoterica, @houseplantjournal @plantedpersonalities, @_armoree_,@shrey_vaida1810, @the_foggy_plant, @m0rtava, @joey_de_la_plants, @karenpinkoski, @blooms_n_plants, @junglejaimegrey, @plantmom_phd and more! 🪴 Don't miss this episode. 🪴 Incorporate plants into your workspace and cultivate more joy throughout your workdays, plant friends! Found my new plant shop in my new town. @adamsfairacrefarms has the most unbelievable selection of tropicals (including a rare plant table!) and I’m totally blown away. I literally had butterflies looking through the store yesterday. 🪴 This move has been a big change and I was nervous I wouldn’t find a plant shop that “got me”. I’ve been asking anyone I meet about the local gardening scene which is how I came across this place (it didn’t come up on any of my google searches!) 🪴 Just goes to show the value of asking real humans (and not just google) for recommendations, plant friends! 🪴 I restrained myself and didn’t leave with the WHOLE store... just the alocasia in the photo and a mystery $8 plant which turned out to be a Hoya shepherdii- such a delightful surprise! Thanks for your help IDing it in the stories!

1,2,3,4: which one is your ultimate Macrame Dream? Personally I can’t get enough of #2 and the “macraweave” mixed threads and dreamy purples, it’s my favorite style @fiber_and_foliage does… but I’m also pretty obsessed with these snuggly plant hangers! 🌿 I wanted to introduce our community to @fiber_and_foliage run by my friend and former co-kittycat at Cats the Musical, Erin. Erin and I connected over our mutual shared inner Crazy Plant Lady and love for yoga on tour. She has an impressive plant collection herself but what’s even MORE impressive is the recent macrame company she launched (@fiber_and_foliage… LOVE that name!) and these dreamy designs she makes. 🌿 Some of you know that my primary professional is as a musical theater performer, and I lost my job back in March when the world shut down. The entire theater community had been brought to their knees, paralyzed by an inability to work and unfortunately live theater will likely be one of the last industries to come back to life during the pandemic. 🌿 My artist friends have pivoted in the most amazing ways and the small businesses many of them have launched in the last few months has blown me away. Erin has had an incredibly impressive career in theater, and now is translating that creativity into her macrame work and I’m just so inspired and proud of her. 🌿 Plant Friends, can we support our girl with a warm welcome to this beautiful community and go give her a follow and some positive feedback on her dreamy creations? 🌿 So… what’s your pick? 1,2,3,4?!? #femaleentrepreneur #femaleartist #sidehustle

Hey plant friends! I've been a little absent from IG lately while BAGR has been on hiatus. Guess what... WE BACK. 👏🏼 Season 6 launches TOMORROW with an EPIC interview with @plantdaddypodcast all about HUMIDITY! Make sure you are subscribed so you don't miss when it hits the airwaves. 🎧 I've also been absent because we MOVED.... again. More on that later this week :) 🏡 2021 didn't start off the way we wanted it to here in the US, but something that has given me comfort and hope this week has been reading everyones 2020 Reflections/2021 Intentions. Thank you to everyone in our community for participating. It feels so nice to be able to learn such intimate things from you, even if it's through a screen. They now live in my pinned stories, if anyone else wants to connect with our community and feel that hope. 🙏🏼 I've also updated the pinned #plantywfh posts, keep them coming! I've got a BAGR episode and youtube video coming later this month diving DEEP into this topic, as greening up our workspaces seemed to really resonate with all of you. 👩💻 Can't wait to share more about our new home with you once I can get my act together and take some photos and videos. For now, you can swipe to see our new neighbors and my new view from my #plantywfh space- I made sure to put my desk up against a window, as it's one of my biggest takeaways from seeing all of YOUR spaces, and MAN is it paying off! #keepblooming #keepgrowing
