• Running off to the next adventure like... Can anyone believe it’s already half way through June? I personally cannot comprehend how fast this summer is flying 😂 So many amazing weddings photographed in the last two weeks and many more to come. This lovely couple got married in the Denali area and it was a magical day! It feels like I’m constantly on the run and I’ve been savoring slow mornings at home whenever possible. Today was one of them and then I hopped in my car to get to the airport, and then realized, after it was too late, that my Jeep is a liiiiiittle tall for the parking garage and I had to pull out and go to oversized parking 🤦🏼‍♀️ Forgot I had the rooftop tent on there and stressed myself out 😂 As a reminder, I am fully booked through this summer with incredibly limited dates in the Fall. Dates aren’t officially booked until a contract is signed and paid. Contracts will expire after one week. So thankful to be fully booked and doing a job that I love so very very much. All of my couples this year have been so soooo amazing and I’m thankful for you all❤️ How’s your summer going so far? Drop a ☀️ if you’ve been getting outside as much as possible!

  • Being a photographer has been such an enormous blessing in my life for the years I’ve pursued it. From when I first picked up a camera in middle school I knew this was something special. I never really imaged it being a career though because I didn’t know that was a real thing. Little did I know God had other plans and here I am, many years later, doing what I love and sharing it with all of my couples. It truly is overwhelming to think about how far this small business has come and the love I get to photograph on the daily! Being a photographer isn’t “easy work”, and there is so much more to it than “pressing a button”. It’s countless emails sent and received, getting to know my couples, shooting for several hours at a time, editing for days on end, constantly growing and improving my craft and continually learning how to provide the best experience I possibly can. I’m most definitely not perfect, and that’s okay. But I’m here for the emotional roller coaster ride with each of my couples and invest myself into each of their sessions and wedding days ❤️ I’m so thankful for every single couple that comes my way and that trusts me with their memories. Thank you for this wild amazing ride! I know there are also so many other amazing photographers in this state that work and invest so much time into their craft and it is INSPIRING! It’s the time of year again where nominations for Best of Alaska are open and if you believe that I am one of Alaska’s best I would truly appreciate your nomination/votes!   • We went on a sailboat tour out of Seward and it was the best. The scenery, the people, and the weather were awesome! We could not have asked for a better day!! #smithsquaredadventures 46/52 It was a busy week and weekend with back to back sessions and one day to spare and go out on this tour in Seward. We camped out in town afterwards and I left early the next morning to a wedding in Kenai. So glad the timing worked out so perfectly! Huge shoutout to @rez.bay.sailing for a good time out on the water, will 100% be booking with them next summer. Alsooooo, if anyone is looking to elope on a sailboat, well... hint hint 😉 Annnnd another shoutout to @connerfain_ for the shots, I knew setting up a tripod was going to be impossible so I recruited him for the job haha #connermariephotography 😂 What’s been your summer highlight so far??
