  • Don’t make your text blocks too wide! This is the number 1 mistake I see people make on their blogs.

It makes your text really hard to read because your eyes don’t move smoothly from side to side. It’s actually really choppy.

This is why text is broken up into columns on books with really large pages.

Don’t believe me? Film yourself and try to look smoothly from one point on the wall to the other. You’ll see how jumpy your eyes actually move 👀

  • Something I read that I needed to hear recently, and maybe you do too.

Sometimes we get so caught up in all we want to achieve through our work that we forget to even enjoy it.

We forget to experience the fun of it because we’re always thinking “But I’m not there yet.”

Just a thought 😌

  • Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

I’ve been a little absent from social media lately... well for like a month 😅 or more, idk.

I just got a little overwhelmed with homeschooling and client work, and I realized I wasn’t having any fun.

I really think if I’m creating content and there’s no joy or passion in it... it’s probably not helping anyone, it’s just adding noise.

So I took a break. Did you know you can do that? Nothing falls apart. New clients still found me. My kids have a less frazzled mom.

And now I’m excited to share and help again. I’m not doing it because I am telling myself a story that I “have to post constantly, or everything will implode.” 🤯

But I will say if I could go back I would probably do it more intentionally. I’d schedule in a good long break and enjoy the entire thing with no guilt instead of just disappearing.

I’ve actually seen a lot of people lately posting similar things. So if your feeling the same way, know you’re not alone!

I think there’s something in the water 😜
