In the beginning, I got VERY upset when Matt didn't share my same business enthusiasm or when he said do you ever stop working?

What you need to know is, you cannot EXPECT your spouse to respond the way you WANT them to.

For example, if I had a really good call and I ran to him excitedly and he had a crap day at work - I'm not going to get mad at him.

✅ CREATE BOUNDARIES

THIS was hard for me.

For a year my business came before Matt. I'd get impatient with him when he wanted to spend time together because I wanted HIM to understand I was trying to build a life for us.

My computer gets turned off at 7pm NO LATER.
I make sure to ask about HIS day.
We spend 1x1 time together with no distractions (and no convo's about work)
