  • Today is the start of Chinese New Year and we would like to wish our friends in China a very Happy New Year!

Chinese New Year is also known as the Spring Festival and is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar.

Celebrations will last 15 days! Traditions include a big clean of the home to sweep away the bad luck if the past year; decorating homes with red decorations as it’s a sign of good luck; a visit to Chinese temple to pray for good luck; and firecrackers set off as the New Year begins; and of course, plenty of traditional dishes consumed tonight!

Here’s to the year of the Ox and May it bring lots of good luck!
