  • My goals so far for 2021 have been childbirth and to survive the first few weeks of motherhood. 😂🙌🏻🙏🏻

But honestly, it’s been so refreshing to have an excuse to turn off the noise and start this year gently.

I’ve felt less pressure, more peace.

Less productivity, more presence.

I am still dreaming, goal setting, creating and growing …(literally, a human!). I just don’t do it wishing I had one more day to not feel behind or pushing hard a few more hours to catch up. 

I’m excited to enter 2021 in eager anticipation of a slower season full of newborn cuddles. I look forward to coming back to work (talk to me about March 2021!) and re-evaluating what I want to bring back into my business and what I’d like to improve on.

And, until baby girl makes her arrival, I’ll be working with my amazing clients, finishing their beautiful websites and celebrating their launches this month!

  • While I know, inherently, it’s important to share authentic content, I’ve struggled with sharing my ever-growing belly. Why?⁠

We are eagerly anticipating this new little arrival, but this journey has also made me feel all the emotions. ⁠
⁠
Happy, sad, out of control, hyper-protective, surrounded by love and isolated. I’m also learning to navigate in a world that doesn’t allow my husband to things like life-changing ultrasounds. And I’ve overcome the worst morning sickness and oh yeah, having COVID too. ⁠
⁠
But I was recently reminded that we have a lot of different lives. The private ones. The personal. And the public. Sometimes I feel comfortable sharing everything (making it public) and sometimes during this journey, I’ve collected every moment and saved it up in the private category. ⁠
⁠
No matter what you’re going through, good or bad and what you want to share or privately enjoy, you’re allowed. It only has to be right for you because all of those lives are totally and completely yours. ⁠

Things I am LOVING right now:⁠

1️⃣ Waffles. It may be baby girl, it may be that we just finished watching all of Parks & Recreation, but I am legit having dreams about waffles. To the point where I wake up immediately after and go downstairs to throw one in the toaster.⁠

2️⃣ Designing sales pages. There is something so powerful about seeing all the pieces for a new program launch come together - the offer, the copy, the images.⁠
⁠
3️⃣ Skirts, oversized sweaters and leggings. I just got some new clothes that will last me throughout the next 4 months. I made myself a uniform - oversized sweater, leggings, ballet flats. Who needs maternity clothes anyway? Give me all the comfy clothes!⁠

5️⃣ My nursery! Or, the thought of it. @meetingmeredithcreative, my sister-in-law is an interior design fanatic and I handed over the entire nursery plans to her. I have no idea what she’s purchase with our credit card - but I’m so excited to see it when it comes together in a few weeks!✨⁠

✨Using a right-pointing arrow when with call to actions or buttons✨⁠
⁠
An arrow communicates, especially when thinking about user interface design, a next step. ⁠
⁠
If you can get someone to say “I’m moving forward,” you just helped them say a subconscious "yes" to your offer - aka a microconversion.⁠
⁠
That little forward arrow adds a bit of anticipation, makes their heart to beat a little faster, and it's visual confirmation that, “Yes, I’m ready to take the next step to learn more about this offer.”⁠

When you actually think about it, you know you've felt this too!⁠

If you can get someone to have a "mini-yes" enough times, it's more likely they'll say an actual yes and pull out their credit card. 💳⁠
