How we create a budget using the Every Dollar app video is LIVE! You can find it on JORDANJEAN.COM! Please please please let us know what questions you have for us in the comments below. If you don’t feel comfortable, you can also message me! We’ll record all of the answers tomorrow to get that video up this week too.
Our baby registry post is LIVE on jordanjean.com! We tested items in the store, surveyed our family and friends (thank you guys so much for all of your input!), read reviews, watched and read through hours of content, etc. We poured so much time into this (gladly!! This kind of thing is my jam!). Our goal was to intentionally pick items that will last for all of the children we get the opportunity to parent, will actually be used often, and will ideally balance all of that with price. We tried to keep it pretty minimal and remained gender neutral (but still colorful!). Our thought is - if it's a girl, we'll throw a bow on her she'll be good to go. 😂I hope you find this helpful! P.S. We miss hockey season. 🏒
Our debt journey + how we got out of debt video is LIVE! 🙈Striving for financial freedom is something we've become really passionate about so we decided to sit down and make videos that (we hope) equip and empower you to achieve your own financial goals. This will be a three part series! Part two will go live next week and will include all of the nitty gritty details involved in how we make a budget. Please leave any questions you want answered below in the comments! We want to support you the best we can.
Many of you have asked for the details behind our duvet cover so I went ahead and compiled a post on JORDANJEAN.COM of the ones we own plus a bunch of quilts and duvets that I'm eyeing for our next house. I hope it helps! I also wanted to say a huge sincere thank you to the people that have been checking my blog and following along. It has grown a lot recently which is so exciting and it's greatly because of the time you take to just check in to read what I share. Those few minutes you take to read or to share my blog/Instagram with others may seem like not a big deal to most but it is to someone that spends the vast majority of their time pouring into it. It means so much to me. Thank you again!
Today on JORDANJEAN.COM I shared 100 things to do while practicing self distancing at home along with some pages to color! One of them was to paint your fingernails/toenails. It's something I said I'd do all the time once I left the food industry (you can't have painted nails because of potential food contamination) but spoiler alert- I still never do it. Today I figured why not add some color to this quarantine? Better yet, every time I share this gel nail DIY though you guys really love it so why not share it on here too? Head over to my stories to learn all of my secrets. 💅🏼Can you spot something else that needs some paint? 😂I wonder who could've done such a thing..... It'll look exactly like that until the minutes before we have potential buyers walk in. 🙊Maybe they'll be too occupied looking at the window boxes to even notice? Probably just wishful thinking. 😂
Feeling extra grateful for our miles in the woods today 🌲🤎
HAPPY 🍟DAY! During this season especially we’re trying to support local businesses if we can so pickle chips, fish and chips, and a po’ boy for takeout it was. I was hoping I’d be able to make these overalls work for the next 20 weeks but after tonight that might not happen. 😂 What are you guys eating tonight? Are you meatless on Fridays during lent too? @stupta is Catholic so he practices this. I’m not but most of the time it ends up being that way for me anyway since we both have to eat around here!
This morning Stephen drove me to the big 20 week ultrasound appointment. Our doctor's office/hospital has a strict no visitor policy right now with everything going on so he sat in the car and waited for me like a champ. They also checked my temperature the second I walked in the door and made sure that my hands were sanitized. I'm so appreciative of their preventative measures and the people putting themselves at risk daily to enforce them. It was humbling to talk to some of the nurses and doctors, ask how they're doing, and offer some life giving words. I just can't thank those of you on the 'front line' enough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The appointment went well! According to the baby's measurements, the due date is still my birthday. We're really grateful. Scroll to see the Tot waving hi! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We have this tradition of getting a celebratory treat after each appointment so today we stopped at a local chicken and ice cream joint where they brought take out to the cars. I could’ve eaten a few of those cones. 🙊 Back to quarantine we go! I just wanted to document a few hours from this day that were filled with joyful results, quality car ride conversations, and a yummy chocolate vanilla swirl.
I recently found out that my mom has been hiding this award-winning chocolate mocha cake from us FOR YEARS! FOR YEARS!!! She made up for it by giving me the stamp of approval to share the recipe with all of you. She’s one special lady, that Mama Newk... So is this cake. Whip this bad boy up mid quarantine and your chocolate loving family members will love you forever. You can find the recipe and more on JORDANJEAN.COM!
