I’m having a hard time finding the words to articulate this because even though it was/is my hands physically moving when I created this group only a few short hours ago, this is not my doing. It’s all Him. Trying to conceive can be an incredibly tough battle and because of opening up about our journey, I’ve met so many of you experiencing your own struggles. I’ve realized through this that a lot of the time I fail to find the “right” words when having these conversations. Even as someone that has been through the thick of it, I struggle with that. I received so many kind words coming from the most loving of hearts during those years and they’d go in one ear and out the other some days. But just as quickly, I could get some tough love (also from the most loving of hearts) such as a “Hey! Never speak that word again. No more of that.” and the words felt as though it was tattooed on my bones. Isn’t it so beautiful how we all learn, process, give, receive, and grieve so differently (especially when we let the Holy Spirit MOVE!)? My hope and prayer is that in this space, you are reminded that you are not alone and that you’re so loved. Oh! And to learn a thing or two while we’re at it. Link is in my bio.

It's not a dramatic before and after room makeover but it is a better use of the space and also looks better than before (as @nestingwithgrace says). I think the motto for this house is going to be "don't underestimate the power of paint!" We painted Ellie's closet while we were doing the rest of her room and then I used some spray paint we had on hand to refresh the rod. Storage bins made a huge difference compared to the giant bags we were storing her clothes in. It used to be a disaster. Now it's organized and more functional. Someday we will most likely create a nice shelving system to maximize all of the space in here but until then, it's definitely better than before. That's what we're striving for. Details including the free cutouts are on the blog!

It was Easter Sunday and all of the grandkids were running around the yard hunting for eggs at my Mema’s house. My Dad’s “little buddy” was either not finding eggs fast enough compared to my cousins, I fell and got hurt mid hunt, or was too busy eating to realize the hunt had even started (he doesn’t remember which... All are very plausible.). Either way, I needed help. Without hesitation or a second thought, my (maybe slightly competitive) Dad scooped me right up and off we went. It is one of my all time favorite photos of my Dad and I. When I imagine how it played out in my head I can't help but giggle. It's also such a raw representation of the love my Father has always expressed for his little ruffle-sock-wearing baby girl (and my precious brother! Minus the ruffle socks...). Today as I'm staring at this photo, I can't help but think one step further and imagine a love that our Heavenly Father feels towards us. One so incredibly deep that He would give His one and only Son to die a death He didn't deserve for His adopted children that are as far as we can be from deserving. A love so intangible that He would scoop us up and walk with us in newness of life (Romans 6:4). A love so unfathomable that He would transform the most horrific of acts into our One and Only hope. Thank you Father, that “it is finished” (John 19:30) and that there is victory in the name of Jesus. 🤍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Matthew 26-28 | Mark 14-16 | Luke 22-24 | John 17-20 Take your pick.

We've learned a lot about introducing solids to Ellie Joy using a Baby-Led Weaning approach since we started only two months ago (one of them being the importance of smocks 🙈). I'm not an expert but I can point you in the direction of the people that are! 😉 I shared what we've learned so far, helpful resources, answers to your questions, and more on jordanjean.com! Comment below with any other questions you have and I'll do my best to get them answered.

I couldn’t resist getting this corner of the office together first. ✨ I shared this space on the blog today along with 6 other shelving options that I’d put in my own home!

Thanks for laughing with me today (head over to stories to see what I’m talking about)! We’re prepared and praying. I hope you stay safe! Whether that’s celebrating St. Patrick’s Day or weathering the storm. 💚

Isn’t it crazy what paint and a good dose of elbow grease can do? They might just be some plain white walls but goodness gracious they makes us happy. All of the details including the fun star light (spoiler alert: we’ve decided we want something bigger!) are in the blog post I shared this evening. I hope you have the best Sunday!

Started with the texture now we here. 💃🏼 We perfected our stomped texture ceiling removal and shared it on the blog including all of the products we use! We were quoted a minimum of $8k to do this in our 1600 sq ft home (it would’ve been more once they saw our vaulted living room). Now that we’ve cut the method down to only hours per room, we don’t regret saving that $8k whatsoever. A labor of love, that’s for sure, but one that we think is worth it.

I couldn't resist!! Thank goodness Ellie is able to sleep right through some casual hammering. 😅 Our plans for the office as well as the before photos are up on the blog!
