  • Finally the mystery is solved!!! To all my dear clients who are confused by what I meant by “film photography”, I have finally written a blogpost to explain what it is 😍 , and no it’s not ‘video/film’, sorry! 😟 Check our profile link - the first one “What is film photography?”) . Fine art photography is usually executed using film. The term fine art is broad, but to me; it’s the art of intentionality where we don’t photograph a million shots, but we try and make sure every frame counts. We frame carefully and deliberately; we observe and we capture. When every click costs a cup of small coffee, we can’t help but to be more careful 😆 . Remember the olden days when you load a little canister of film into your dad’s camera? and the sound it makes as you press the shutter? Remember the days when you only have 36 frames (not thousands) to use? I use a medium format camera and there are only 16 per roll! . The contax 645 is my medium of choice and I use it dearly to drive my vision 😍 . I love film because of the natural, beautiful and soft colours (no filters required!), the beautiful tonality, the light but deep highlights, the timeless and romantic feel of the film grains 😍 . In Australia the art of film photography is still relatively new, so it’s a niche. However, once someone falls in love with it, like me... it is very hard to try and fall out of love with it!!! .   • REAL UPDATE . I was happy to have spent time with our friends feasting on the yummiest BBQ spread at home today; but when they left I was exhausted. Physically, and mentally . After the kids showered, my husband took this photograph of us secretly (swipe to see). It was wayyy past bedtime, but I couldn’t seem to stop cuddling and kissing them. I missed them... I wanted to share this because this is real life to our family. I am sure many of you can relate 😊. One day I will have a team of assistants supporting me (a full time copywriter will be nice!!!) but before that, I have to be faithful and wear the many hats I have and juggle them to the best of my ability everyday . We had a huge week with the book launch. The kids didn’t see a lot of me because I had to persist with dream chasing. Such is life, it’s not perfect and we can’t have everything. If you watched my IG live yesterday, you will understand why I did this fundraising e-book that I wrote with all of my heart. Now that I have finished it, it is time to focus on the family again to build my inner strength so I can serve the next causes given to me with a fresh heart . I have a dream to raise $500 with THE FIVE DREAMERS e-book fundraising campaign. Plus the $200 per seat we are giving from the Paris workshop seats, I hope that we can together (you and me), raise $2500 for Australia . So far, we have sold $169 worth of ebooks and raised $1200 from the Paris workshop and I am so grateful. My little heart wished that I have reached the goal tonight so I can rest haha, but truth is, most of the time nothing in life is easy... the good news though, is that the journey will make us stronger, bigger and better ❤️ . I look forward to the day I can shout from a mountaintop with you all and say, “We did it guys!!!” and when that happens, it will be time for another cause to be birthed from within the heart 😊 . I am going to tally the giveaway tommorow ❤️ but for now, good night ✨. Thank you dearly for partnering with me in my dream to be a blessing to you - your stories, and to our world ✨ . Much love xx . My self confidence was almost non existent and I was just insecure, put all of that into a creative mind, can you imagine how messed up and lost I was 😅 Never felt worthy to be paid her worth, would rather bury her head in the sand than to step out of her comfort zone... that was the beginning of my journey . How I have evolved and grown, has been fuelled through many of the stories I was told. That is the power of stories . Since the devastating fire disaster in my country, I have been thinking of how we can help. I hope to do whatever I can, together with you (if you say yes), to help the affected ones rise from the ashes... The extent of the damage is overwhelming but every little bit that we can do, I believe will count🙏🏻 . So here it is, an idea that I believe have been inspired by heaven.
