1️⃣ Start in a toe stand position with your knees together⁠⁠
2️⃣ Twist to one side and bring the elbow as high as possible up the thigh⁠⁠
3️⃣ Place your hands down onto the mat, directly beneath your shoulders⁠⁠

I got my start as a yoga teacher at a donation-based studio. I rented the space to teach. People who took my class were welcome to donate what they could afford - the suggested donation was $6.⁠⁠

Even though for the first six months, I basically lost money, I looked at it as a great way to gain experience and notoriety. And most importantly, an opportunity to start building a community. ⁠⁠

I would take peoples email⁠'s to contact them (Facebook or social media were not a part of our lives yet). I showed up every day. I offered privates to the attendees. ⁠I was determined and I used that to power me through those hard times.⁠ ⁠⁠

Eventually, I created a name for myself. People reached out to me instead of the other way around. I diversified my teaching and started offering local workshops. That led me to travel and teach internationally which then gave me the platform to teach teacher trainings around the world. ⁠⁠

⁠The point of my post is to tell you, as hard as it seems, and as far from the light at the end of the tunnel you might think you are, YOU ⚡ WILL ⚡ GET ⚡ THERE ⚡. Put yourself out there. Take that chance. Dare yourself to go bigger and thrive. All your hard work will pay off - believe in yourself and your dreams. ⁠⁠
