//CEREMONIES\\ Why did you choose to get married where you did/are planning to? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For us, having our dog (#taggstails) at our wedding was the driving force behind our ceremony location. So we picked a unlicensed woodland at @dedhamvalevineyard and got married with a celebrant (thanks Bridget!) it was by far the best decision we made, getting married with the leaves rustling in the trees, a ceremony personalised to us and the sun peeking through was the best! And Tagg as ring bearer is still one of my favourite memories! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So tell me, is there any significance to the venue you’ve chosen to say your wedding vows? I’d love to know below! ⬇️ ••• ⬆️ this gorgeous ceremony set up was on @graceladbrook and @robladbrook1’s wedding day at @markshallestateweddings. Remember when the sun used to shine?!
⭐️⭐️⭐️FAMILY SHOOTS⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve had a lot of enquiries for these recently and the answer is YES! I do photograph families. BUT I like to keep it a little exclusive by only doing so for my current or past couples. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is mainly because I’d love to see you all again after your wedding days especially as so many of you have gone on to create mini versions of yourselves since we last saw each other! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’d like to include your little ones in some photos do get in touch, I’d love to see you all again!
//CHOO CHOO\\ Today I’ve been up to London for a photography trade show. I haven’t been to one for years because they’re quite intimidating with lots of people talking tech-y and wearing big backpacks. Any-how, todays trip was great research for finalising my switch to @sonyalpha. I did cry a little inside to discover how little my @nikoneurope equipment is now worth when I traded it in at @mpbcom but I know it’s time to move on and re-invest in this little business of mine. 📷 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2019 couples... I cannot wait to shoot your weddings with my new kit! I feel like a kid excited to go back to school with their new pencil case!! (I had one of those tin pencil cases at school, by the end of term it was all carved into by me and my friends using the point of my compass!!!)
//TO DO LISTS\\ I’ve had ‘get wedding dress cleaned’ on my to do list for a casual 19 months now 🤣, how long do I leave it on there before I realise it’s never going to get done? So yes, I need your help past brides, where did you take your dress to get cleaned? Please let me know in comments so I can finally take it out of our guest bedroom where it’s been hung like a weird ghost dress for far too long! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☝️This @enzoani dress belongs to @amyl681 who looked like a total knock out in it!
//☔️RAINY DAYS☔️\ For some reason rain seems to stop our internet from working which always happens at the most inconvenient of times. Today for example I was in the middle of blog writing and *bam* bye bye saved work 🤦♀️. Perhaps it’s just a sign that when it’s raining we should take a moment to listen to it on the rooftops (and it sounds good in my office!) and just kick back, relax and switch off for a bit. It did give me a chance to see if I could finish the puzzle of Tagg I got for Xmas!Anyway, it’s all well and good in January... just no more raining in wedding season ok?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Seeing as I’m puzzling right now. What’s your favourite thing to do on a rainy day? 👇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It seems @siobhand960 and @christreble’s favourite thing to do on a rainy day is get married! 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Venue: @markshallestateweddings
⭐️⭐️ Business Owners ⭐️⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As well as weddings I also do a little bit of lifestyle product photography and personal branding as well to keep things ticking over! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Demonstrating it here is Charlotte from @thebeautifulcakery who let me come over as she made some new cake designs for her upcoming wedding fairs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These images can now be used on her website, on Facebook in her insta stories and on her feed. It’s given her a huge gallery of images to share throughout the year rather than trying to take an awkward selfie! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you need some behind the scenes images taken let me know. I love seeing how people work (I’m nosey!) and would love to help your clients get to know the person behind the business. 😊
To all those of you who may now be coming down from cloud nine to the big reality check that is planning a wedding... remember suppliers are the best experts you can find! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m always happy to answer any questions about your day in regards to photography, and have a huge list of suppliers that I just love working with to ensure your day is laid back and most importantly fun. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Planning is daunting, but it will all be worth it when you’re standing there on your wedding day about to say your vows! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me know below what you are finding the hardest part (or if you’re already married which part of planning you struggled with) and I’ll see if I can help!
Officially my first day back after a nice two week festive break and I’ve eased myself in with emails (so many newly engaged couples - hello!) and dreaming and scheming for 2019. There’s nothing better than starting a new diary is there? And yes, that’s new magazines you’ve spotted. They’ll be in consultation packs this year and are packed full of wedding inspiration! . . . . . . . . #2019hereicome #backtowork #kmphq #kerriemitchellphotography #kerriemitchell #orlakiely #migoals
