Shadow work, meditation, yoga, breathwork, coaching... Just a few alternatives to pumping iron. Worked-out body is great. Yet, there's nothing more attractive than working on yourself from within. Stay optimized. Sit with your emotions for a change.
"You're expensive" an executive on the verge of burnout recently said to me. I giggled. I giggled because after doing some basic math I saw that the changes that we were about to make were equivalent to nearly $120,000 (based on his earnings in profit). After taking inventory of his life and business, I made a promise to cut his work hours by 40% by tightening up the systems in his business, stopping micro-managing activities and hiring one crucial employee that he overlooked. I promised to help him take care of his body, because the way his biology functioned was limiting his capacity of productive output. I imagine you're clearly seeing this - the change would have made him the same amount of money in nearly HALF the time of work. He was saying how he wants to start a new side business, take care of his body and have more time for himself. Yet, he's never worked with a coach before so he gave into the fear of uncertainty. He fell victim to short-term thinking. I understood him, because I remember myself waiting WAY TOO LONG to hire someone because "I could do it on my own". Dumb. Of course I can. It just always takes 10x longer! On that note, I've got one spot open for my private coaching. We take inventory of your life, identify inefficiencies and find the easiest path to fix them. You don't have to run a business to benefit from this. All you need is to see beyond tomorrow and have drive to accomplish MORE in life 😊 start by clicking the link in bio.
Have you ever thought about this - You don't get what you WANT, you get what you ARE? It is one thing to wish to be a leader/entrepreneur/<insert your desired identity> and it is completely different to BECOME that person. I've learned that staring in the mirror you doesn't help you put on muscle or become a millionaire (surprise haha!) Following the proven principles and DOING does. 📸:@skinsbuem
Sunday is a good day to reflect, regroup and make a decision to make some changes for the better. A few questions to ask yourself: -What am I pretending not to know? -What am I uncomfortable with facing? -How much longer can I withstand <...>, really? Start your week strong!
Most people's decisions are driven by pain and fear. That's how I grew up - being in a reactive state was the norm. Yet that's the worst position to be in. Reactivity automatically puts us in the undesirable position of being at effect. Being at effect is how mediocrity feeds and perpetuates itself. Most of the population stays at effect and does not take preventive measures in their life, whether it's their health, finances or relationships... Why? Because it requires them to face discomfort (also known as reality) It requires intentionality, planning, accountability, support... It's so much easier to fall back into comfort. I know that because I used to shy away from my shortcomings (still do at times) - I thought that exposing them showed my weakness. When in reality, there's nothing more cowardly than hiding weaknesses and ignoring them 😊. That's why I choose to surround myself with people who challenge me. That's why I have coaches in the areas that I suck at. All I want is to be an Optimized Human, do this "humaning" thing as well as I can and help others to do the same ❤️ So which path do you choose? Mediocrity or Optimization?
I was told by multiple people that I seem too serious on social media and encouraged me to show my humorous side. So here it is! Happy Monday! 😊
