Happy Father’s Day! We were supposed to be in Italy right now, celebrating with pizza and gelato. Sigh. As a nod to what could have been, we made Nocino thanks to my sweet friend @elizabethbesch for snagging us some green English walnuts. In just 18 months we will have homemade Italian liquor. #goodthingscometothosewhowait

One of my favorite corners of the house. This is where I sneak away to get a few minutes of quiet and stillness in a house with three dogs, two teenagers, and a husband now working from home. I hope everyone can find their own nook for a moment of peace.

We’ve had our Rosie (previously Kaye) for almost 5 weeks now. She is without a doubt the best dog we’ve ever had. She is so loving and cuddly with us and has been a dream to train. We can’t thank you enough @crockettdoodles.

My fiddle fig tree has made it four years! I used to kill anything that came into my house but I’ve managed to keep this girl and seven other house plants alive and well. Is there like a trophy or certificate of achievement that I apply for? 😉 My trick is in measuring the moisture level before watering. My days of drowning houseplants are in the past.

Made this mini balloon arch for our car to use in a drive-through middle school award ceremony. I didn’t have the heart to cut it up after only using it for 3 minutes so I put it over the bar cart. Tonight we can celebrate the end of a trying semester for both the kids and myself. I can speak from experience that distance learning is not easy. Balancing stressful times while having to learn new material is a real challenge. Congrats to everyone who made it through, even if you muddled your way to the end, you should be proud. 🎉
