  • Happy Saturday, y'all! 💖 We had a few furniture deliveries yesterday that always lead us to rearranging the shop, like this vignette in the photo. Putting these pieces together made me think of a design dilemma lots of clients seem to have - can I mix wood tones? I can't tell you how many times we've had clients trying to find a specific wood tone to match their floors or other pieces and some of them have been looking for several months or even a year or so. The tip to making it work? Complimentary wood tones. A mix of complimentary tones creates layers and adds interest to the whole space. We stay in the gray - brown family. We don't bring in red wood tones like mahogany or cherry. However, we definitely add in neutral painted pieces which again, add nice interest by mixing wood finishes and painted pieces. Oh, and when in doubt, ALWAYS add an easy to clean / maintain rug to break up the wood on hardwoods look 😊 . . We're OPEN y'all, Wednesday through Sunday, 11am to 4pm.
