Ignore the mess of papers on the floor nearby. Today is recallibrating of many things day. Spring fever has collided with Summer break as I shuffle out the old and hoist in the new. New what? Focus, methods of doing things, corners and nooks.... To move forward peacefully I have to take action lest I dwell until my death. I have worked out all the possible ideas which were causing me to stay stuck. They are out of my head, out of Microsoft Word, and onto white sheets which will be filtered and labeled. I have a post from a few months ago about organisation for writers if you want to check it out. Be warned, it's not fancy. I'm learning I'm anything but. I'm now okay with that. This is true of myself and I must say it's a favorite way to restore mental peace into my writerly life: Always feel welcome back to your drawing board. Never hold yourself hostage to something that's not working. So today? Still plugging away while drinking dandelion tea. You? #teaandword
Dancing on the car happy about getting our #paperback in today, #HolyHustleBook by @crystalstine! If you have not had a chance to check out her work, I encourage you to as soon as you can carve out time. Crystal is one of the first bloggers I was drawn to in my early stages of preparing to blog full time. Her heart's message was just for me, and it may be for you too. This book is all about embracing a work- hard (no condemnation here!) rest-well life. Who doesn't need this?! In today's culture in America, it feels sometimes as though it's got to be one or the other when frankly, it just isn't so. You can pre-order a copy of her book today and it releases June 5th, 2018! Stay tuned for a #holyhustle #bookreview coming soon!
