I grew up in central NJ (Millstone), in a town with winding roads, lots of woods and lots of fields and horse farms. One of the seasons I remember most distinctly was the fall-into-winter, particularly when everything became more in the brown palette, and the reeds grew long and tall. It feels like home to me when I see reeds now, and it feels like home to me whenever I visit the area.
