I learn so much about love from the couples that choose me to photograph them. The way that love is built, slowly and carefully, and not “found” or fallen into. How love is trust and time, and freedom and respect. How love pours out, in a shared glance, in a hand on the back, in the inside jokes. The way love leans in other loves, the sister, the friend cheering them on since the beginning. How it weaves threads of wonder around the lives of others. How love begins and grows, and gets discovered. In the every day and with so much attention. I learn to love with more intention , with more gratitude and even just with so much more simplicity. Love can be sparks, and chemistry and butterflies, but what comes after is better.
You were the one who showed me my light I was the one who thought all that was faded . This sweet couple. Every moment talking to them felt real. Open hearts and bigger laughs. The rain made the yellow leaves gold and the pond a little foggy, but if you knew them and saw them you would feel the sunshine through their warmth.
“Don’t you dare cry now”
To get lost in your arms and embrace life with all of our strength. To let the world listen to our dreams, and fulfill them together. To be and to live, in complete awe and in love, like we are supposed to. . @semplemansion @westdalefloral - #briecatering - @studioveil @amyscupcakeshoppe
Perhaps is time what lured us. stronger than words, gifts or affection. How long we stood, shared and grew . While other lives got pulled appart and wilted, ours intertwined and became stronger. . @hautehousestudio @grand_viewlodge
Carolyn and Danny got to dance, skate and make out in frozen lake last week and I was over the moon to be out with them .
He knows that quirky thing you love that no one else knows about. She knows what’s your favorite movie & the way you take your coffee. He adores how you baby your dog(s) and you adore how he says good morning. it is so much what you learn about each other and grow closer together after the first year of marriage. The things you turn tradition, the lessons and even the songs that turn into “your” soundtrack . . Love seeing the bits of my dearest couple’s lives here and there and how amazing they are together. ( I must admit some facts I know , some I make up in my own rom-com-inspired head of mine) .
Moments into the new year, I can’t help with feeling sentimental about what I do and the incredible humans that invite me into their lives. I am so honored to be brought into this sacred spaces and I honestly enjoy the heck out of it. I love working with couples that enjoy and appreciate creating memories together. A glimpse into this emotional time, frozen and beautiful, something more than pretty, more than posed! I am forever grateful that I get to share a bit of your magnificent story.
Happy new year! We made it - 2019 was quite the year ! I can say it was the hardest , busiest year but also the most fulfilling With two little ones at home , and a calendar full of weddings and sessions , I had to addapt and master new ways of doing all the things! I don’t know how we did it , but we did. The last two months I have been pushing to end the year with a good note and not fall into the burnout that always depresses me and I am happy to report I am more than good. I dont know what I’d do without my increeible husband . My family feels like the strongest team I have ever had and I am super proud of us ! . . This new year I am full of hopes instead of resolutions. I am hugging boundaries a little tighter, allowing more space for family, healthy and creative projects and of course, growth! . . What are your resolutions or hopes for the year?
There is something incredibly romantic about the holidays☃️❣️ Gimme all the twinkle lights, sparkly fresh snow and melancolic tunes
