Have you seen Petzl’s guidance on using rigid spacers in your drop loop or reeving systems? (Pics 2-4) That guidance is exactly why we created our ASAP/Fall Arrest spacers. They are made out of PETG+ for durability, plus heat and UV resistance. Don’t take unnecessary risk and damage to expensive equipment by not using some type of rigid spacer!

A lot of people see the finished products.
What they don’t see are the late nights designing, printing, testing, redesigning, and starting over.
LoadPath Labs started with a simple goal: create better tools for rescue training and system visualization.
Every product is designed, printed, assembled, and tested right here before it ever ships.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported the launch so far.
More is coming.

Introducing the NEW Omni Double Pulley.
We’ve taken our magnetic training tools a step further.
Unlike other orthographic-style magnets, the Omni Double Pulley is designed with a much more realistic appearance, accurately depicting the true double-sheave configuration found on full-size rescue hardware. The added depth and detail make it easier to visualize system orientation while giving your whiteboard layouts a more authentic look.
Designed, printed, and assembled in the USA.
Visualize. Plan. Execute.

Several years ago, our department responded to a high-angle rescue.
A BASE jumper had leapt from near the top of a 1,001-foot television antenna. After deploying his parachute, the wind pushed him directly into one of the tower’s guy wires. He ended up suspended approximately 160 feet above the ground, hanging below the wire and roughly 50 feet away from the tower itself.
To this day, firefighters and rescuers still ask how he was brought down.
The problem is that verbally explaining the rescue can be confusing. Drawing it on a whiteboard helps, but only if everyone can decipher the sketches and understand the rope systems being described.
Using our magnetic rescue training tools, the entire scenario can be built in seconds. Instructors can walk students through the incident step-by-step while visually showing the tower, guy wire, victim location, access options, and rescue system. Students aren’t forced to imagine what the instructor is describing—they can see it.
Combining visual and auditory learning creates a clearer understanding of complex rescue operations and helps crews retain information long after the training is over.
Some rescues are too complex for just stick figures and marker lines.
That’s why we built LoadPath Labs.
Visual. Plan. Execute.
