We're so proud to have some of our former #Year11 students return to speak to our current Year 11s about #SixthForm
They shared their experiences and insights about life at Billericay Sixth Form, offering valuable advice on everything from A-Level choices to settling into a new environment. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to hear firsthand what the next step in their education might look like.
A huge thank you to our amazing alumni for coming back and inspiring the next generation!

Inspiring New #Pathways at The James Hornsby School!
We were delighted to welcome the British Army to The James Hornsby School for an exciting practical workshop focused on teamwork, communication and problem-solving.
The session was followed by an inspiring careers presentation showcasing the huge variety of roles and career pathways available within the Army.
Our pupils were challenged, motivated and introduced to opportunities they may never have considered before. It was fantastic to see their minds opened to new pathways and possibilities.
A huge thank you to the team for an engaging and inspiring experience!

Wear it pink! Next week, on Tuesday 20th October we will be supporting #BreastCancerResearch by allowing students to wear one appropriate accessory or item of pink clothing with their school uniform.
You know how seriously we take uniform, so we would like students to join in respectfully, whilst also maintaining the high standards we expect. We hope to raise awareness in this way, and also we hope to raise funds through donations which can be made on MCAS.

Year 11 PPEs begin this week, and we would like to wish all of our students the very best.
As you prepare, remember that looking after yourself is just as important as revision. A calm and balanced approach can make a real difference.
• Make sure you get a good night’s sleep
• Eat a good breakfast and stay hydrated
• Chunk your revision into small 20 min blocks.
PPEs are an important opportunity to practise exam routines, identify areas for further development and find out what you don't know - YET!
Take each exam one at a time, stay focused, and be proud of your efforts.
Good luck, Year 11.

Let's start the week with a smile!
Meet Lottie - she’s one of our well-being dogs. Students love spending time with the dogs who come into school, when they're waiting for a meeting or see them out at break.
