Many of our staff have been raising money to support the #Movember #Charity by growing a Mo and running a half marathon on Saturday in Wickford, finishing off at Wickford Memorial Park.

In support of the charity students and staff are encouraged tomorrow to ‘wear a Mo’ and donate to the charity.

Charity Week starts from Monday 1st December, and we’ve got loads of fun Christmas themed games and activities planned for you to join in. All money raised goes to our 4 fantastic charities — so get involved, have fun, and do some good at the same time!

Please note: ALL events are cash only!!

Here’s what’s happening:
🎯 Monday: Tin Can Alley - Sports hall - Break 1 – 50p for 3 balls
🎲 Tuesday: Jingle Roll Jackpot - Sports hall – Break 1 – £1 per play
🎨 Wednesday: Shrink Art – TE6 - Break 2 – 20p per item
⛄️ Thursday: Nab the Nose - Sports hall - Break 2 - 50p for 3 goes
⭐ Friday: Leap for the Star - sports hall – Break 2 – 50p for 3 goes

On Tuesday 18th November we had a fantastic day with Essex Police who came in to further educate our students on community safety, including Operation Sceptre, a national, week-long initiative to tackle knife crime and highlight the ongoing support that the police offer our communities.

Students had the chance to take part in interactive workshops and experience walking through a highly sensitive metal detector. Those involved found the sessions informative and beneficial and we would like to thank Essex Police for giving us this opportunity

Our Careers & STEM Week has been an absolute blast, packed with inspiration and future planning for all our students! ✨

We were so fortunate to host incredible workshops delivered by:

@NHSuk 🩺 shedding light on the diverse and vital roles in healthcare!

@DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) 💼 sharing insights into the world of employment and public service!

@ScienceMadeSimple 🧪 bringing STEM careers to life with exciting, hands-on activities!

A huge focus throughout the week was on equipping our students with those all-important key employability skills – communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking. These transferable skills are essential for any path they choose, ensuring they're ready to shine when they step into the world of work!
