Happy Pride 2020 🌈 . . . Our wedding didn’t happen last weekend but we can’t wait to celebrate with all our family and friends next year. Thanks to everyone for the gifts, flowers and good wishes. I’m proud and fortunate to live in a country where we can legally marry and our relationship is recognised, there are so many people who are not as lucky and we must continue to fight for equality. Here’s to Pride 2021 being the biggest celebration EVER 💙 #pridemonth #pride

Tiling the section of the garden directly outside our big sliding door was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. It has given us another room.... outdoors. I bought the tiles from @sabbini a few weeks back - they are the Helix collection, porcelain black and white. They look so smart and clean! Justin’s gorgeous garden tiles @design_at_nineteen were definitely an inspiration for going black and white 🖤 Now who’s for a glass of wine on the new terrace? 🍸 #tile #gardentiles #gardenmakeover ........ #AD Swipe to check out the before and after of my garden and DIY fencing. Yes folks, the last photo is the BEFORE of my garden 🤪 I have documented the transformation over on the blog and the link is in my bio! ....... Once the fencing was completed I wanted to paint it Black Tudor Oak. I used Fence Life Plus + by @ronseal.uk and I am thrilled with the results. The new colour looks really smart and makes the planting stand out. Ronseal has really helped get my garden summer ready... now I just have to wait for the sun 🌞 #beforeandafter #gardenmakeover #ronseal

Not exactly sure what’s going on with the Irish weather, but I’m not complaining. My window boxes filled with lavender are thriving in the heat ☀️ #periodhome #redbrickhouse #dailydecor

As part of my job in a research centre that studies bullying behaviour, I’ve given many talks to young people, educating them on the effects of bullying and how to be an active bystander. I’ve heard many stories of young people’s experiences of racism in and out of school and the negative impact it has on their confidence, self-esteem and education/ability to learn. ... Over 65% of young people in Ireland who experience some form of bullying or unwanted, negative behaviour don’t tell anyone of their experiences, which often includes racial bullying. ... This is why I wanted to highlight this account @black_andirish as I have always believed in the power of people using their voice, telling their story and sharing their experiences as a way to educate others and promote discussions on racism in this country. Check out this page and read their stories. For bystanders who witness injustice, now is not the time to be silent either. We all have a voice and we need to use it if we are going to create change 💙 #blacklivesmatter #istandwithyou #educationispower

Busy working on the garden makeover. It’s a struggle in this heat but we are making progress 👍🏻 I wish I could say these tulips are ones I grew myself, but I’m not quite there yet with the green fingers 😂 I love having fresh flowers in the house, does anyone use any of the subscription services for regular flower delivery? If so, are they worth it? 💐 #summervibes #flowerdelivery #gardenmakeover

Anyone else shop their home during lockdown? 🤷🏻♂️ This vintage rug is one I originally had in the living room but moved it to the master bedroom to bring some colour into the scheme. As the lovely @juliaalexanderinteriors said in a post a while back, vintage rugs are a great way to add interest to a room. Great tip Julia 💙 #vintagerugs #mycolourfulhome #railingsfarrowandball
