Y’all. 😭 Remember when I posted about feeling disconnected? Well, my community listened and took me seriously. I got notes of solidarity in my DMs reminding me I’m not alone, I got extra snuggles from my partner Scott, @milosmarket sent me a watercolor calendar featuring pictures of Austin, TX (my hometown), surprise Mother’s Day gifts + cards, and this super super super sweet little note + candies from my girls at Waterloo Street. All I can say is thank you, seriously, for scooping me up and giving me a big hug. This is the epitome of #togetherapart. Has someone lifted you up this week?

Some of our Closet Coaching participants have already made their way to Stage 3: Accessories & Shoes! To honor their hard work, I wanted to share a real photo from one of my own Closet Sorts that Liz @closetsbyliz helped me with when she was still a wee baby Apprentice! (You gotta pass through Boss Level before you can start helping real clients.😂) It’s totally natural for lots of feelings to crop up during various stages of closet cleansing. What you’re doing is essentially shedding your old skin. You’re letting go of what no longer resonates with you and while that is a very positive thing, there is grief that comes along with it for many of us. We mourn the money we spent on something we never wore. We remember the memories we made in a dress that no longer fits. We reminisce about the era of life when that particular item was in high rotation. Feel those feelings. Consider how we could incorporate similar elements into a new item that better suits your body and lifestyle. Take photos. Tell your stylist! The most wonderful part of the Closet Coaching eBook is that we are still here for you through ever step of the process.♥️ Oh, and we just launched a private Facebook group of fellow Closet Coaching members so that you always have support along the way! So when you’re ready to jump in, give us a shout and we’ll hook you up with the resources to declutter, simplify, and rebuild.

Staying connected, sharing our experiences, cultivating friendships, and empowering each other is more important than ever during these days of #togetherapart. Bringing incredible people together and watching their friendships blossom is one of my greatest joys. It’s been a dream of mine to create a safe space for past and present clients to mix, mingle, and inspire each other for a while now. What better time to introduce each other virtually than in the midst of a pandemic?😅 Allow us to introduce the Audrey Styles Client Club. Whether we’ve helped you once or a hundred times, this space is for you. Your service may have been seven years ago or we might be in the thick of the process right now! Either way, you belong. Click the link in my bio to request to join! We can’t wait to see you there.♥️ Not yet a client? Turn on post notifications ASAP because we have a special opportunity you won’t wanna miss! I’ve been feeling a little lost. I’ve been feeling some major self doubt. I’ve been feeling disconnected, uninspired, anxious, and straight up depressed. I’ve been feeling acutely aware that my chosen career path is “non-essential”. I’ve been feeling like parts of me that make me *ME* have been washed away with isolation. My identity is shifting as I strive to settle into my stay-at-home mom role with my three year old, Amelia... who I adore but am with almost 24/7. (Check my stories for proof 😂) But then I get these stolen slivers of time to be alone with my thoughts or hop on a Zoom call with my team or spend an hour talking to my darling @hollyhannafloral or read a few pages in a new book from @whitewhalebks or write run-on sentences on Instagram and my heart bursts. Seriously. I feel collaborative. I feel seen. I feel hopeful. I feel part of something bigger than myself. And most importantly, I feel like I can survive. And if you know me even the slightest bit, you know that I feel ALL feelings deeply... and they can fluctuate frequently. 🤪🎢🤪 Every.single.day. is a journey of emotions. But right now, after a great meeting with my leadership team for @shopstyleshift and a FaceTime chat with my dear client and beloved friend @legswiles, I feel invigorated. And I am reminded that no matter whether your job is deemed essential or not, I do matter. And while my services certainly don’t save lives, it can absolutely impact them. There is a space for me. There is a space for all of us. Nothing about this moment in history is normal and it’s no surprise that many of us are having a hard time processing it. But one truth that deserves some extra attention is that human connection matters. The role you play is meaningful, no matter what you do, because we are really and truly all in this together. If you are feeling scared, alone, disappointed or uncertain, I am here. And if you’re worried about someone in your life who might be feeling any of the above, send a text. Write a letter. Give them a call. Drop off a care package. Make them a mask. Send them flowers. The options for connection are endless - as are the impacts it can create. 💛

We are SO excited to launch our first ever self-guided service! As we all adapt to our (temporary!) new normal of living a life of social distancing, we are exploring new ways to serve our community, inspire creative productivity, and spark joy. Through this empowering and affordable process, we’re spilling the beans on our methods for getting to the bottom of your personal style and tackling closet organization! Our Lead Stylist Liz is spearheading this project but you’ve truly got the entire Audrey Styles team cheering you on! You can purchase this program for only $48. This price includes ongoing text support, a 45-minute FaceTime consultation, AND you will be initiated into the consignment program at Shift! (Don’t worry if you’re not a PGH local - we can help you make arrangements!) We are only offering this service during the shutdown, so don’t wait! To get started, send a message to me, Liz(@closetsbyliz), or Courtnei(@milosmarket) or simply leave a comment below to learn more. Leaning into that uniform life. Is there an article of clothing, a specific color, or a silhouette you consistently repeat in your closet? I’m all about rust tops - Apparently.😂 BUT, I don’t think it’s such a bad thing! I wear them often, style them differently, and relish the fact that I know rust is one of my best colors! Knowing I’ve got easy to wear options to mix and match makes getting dressed so much easier! Plus, I’m always on brand.♥️

Unpopular opinion time.⏰ Truth be told, I actually prefer pants with buttons + zippers. EVEN in quarantine.🤭 My reasoning is twofold. 1. They flatter my body. My curves look their best with some structure. And when I’m not worried about the way my body looks, I can focus on ALLLLLL the other things. 2. Pants (jeans in particular) are part of my “uniform”. Almost every outfit I wear, that I feel my personal best in, includes denim. Whoops... is my Texan showing?🤠 There is power in feeling like yourself when the world around us feels very unfamiliar. Starting the day with a good foundation can prepare you for whatever the day may hold. “We’re calling this controlling what you can when things feel out of control.”⛄️ Interested in seeing what I scooped up during the @loft sale?! Leave a comment below! I’ll do a pant #tryonhaul for anyone who is interested. #midsize #size12 #sizelarge #styleinisolation #loveloft
