Front porch. The Beatles. Hand quilting. Where are you, what are you listening to and what are you doing on this beautiful Saturday morning!? #timetogetherquilt
It's funny how often people say to me, I wouldn't have the patience to finish a quilt. It does take time, but I usually find myself multi-tasking while quilting: listening to an audio book or podcast, watching a movie with my family (this is great because I rarely sit still long enough to watch an entire movie!) There are so many little moments in the day where I pop over to the sewing machine in between other tasks and finish a block or two and then come back later. I suppose it teaches patience at times, but more often I find myself leaning into diligence and commitment more than patience. All things I need more of. What surprising traits have you learned through new (or old) experiences?
Chain-stitching for days 😍 when I first learned how to chain stitch it saved so much time (and thread!). Does anyone else dream of their next project before the one you're working on is finished? I have two quilts going right now, but can't wait to start on the next #timetogetherquilt in a bigger size and different colors!! I have my eye on the #warpandweftfabric next ❤️
I've learned to trust my early morning thoughts. Today I heard : have dessert for breakfast and hand-stitch the hourglass blocks 💕 #timetogetherquilt
It's so fun watching this pattern come together! Also exciting to use my new design wall... the fabric sticks like magic so no more crawling around on the floor putting blocks together like a jigsaw puzzle while trying to keep 12 little paws away from everything! 😂🐾🐾🐾 #timetogetherquilt
