Thousands of people gathered on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this morning to decry racial injustice and support LGBTQ rights. They marched together to West Hollywood in the âAll Black Lives Matterâ solidarity protest organized by black LGBTQ+ groups. The procession quickly swelled to more than 25,000 people, stretching for miles as protesters raised rainbow flags, chanted and held up balloons and colorful signs. Overhead, a small plane carried a "Black Lives Matter" banner that fluttered over the city, echoing the words of demonstrators. Flames scorched dozens of acres in the Sepulveda Pass amid hot and dry conditions early Wednesday. The #SepulvedaFire burned grass and brush in an old burn scar area entirely on the east side of the 405 Freeway in the Bel-Air area near Getty Center Drive, @losangelesfiredepartment said. Two firefighters were evaluated for minor injuries and released at the scene, according to officials. Around 200 firefighters had stopped the forward progress of the blaze but were still working on containment, LAFD said.
