Keto turkey meatballs wrapped in bacon!! My husband Todd took his standard turkey meatball recipe and keto-fied it! (Is that a word?! 🤣) A delicious meatball wrapped in bacon and smothered in fresh mozzarella! What’s not to love?! I wasn’t sure how much I would like the Keto way of eating, but can I just say that I love it, and it’s been very easy to stick to. Even as an athlete! Here’s the recipe. Keto Ground Turkey Balls 2 packages of ground turkey 1 green bell pepper 1 red bell pepper 1/2 large yellow onion 1/2 red onion 3 cloves of fresh garlic 3 whole eggs Mrs. Dash Chipotle seasoning Sliced Fresh Mozzarella Thick cut bacon Salt Pepper Add chopped bell pepper, onion, fresh garlic, eggs to ground turkey in a large mixing bowl. Add salt, pepper and chipotle to taste. Mix. Preheat oven to 375. Take a baking sheet and spray bottom of pan with a spray cooking oil of your choice. Then make turkey balls and place on the baking pan while the oven is heating up. Wrap with a half slice of bacon, and secure in place with a toothpick. Before placing in oven I also shake chipotle seasoning on top. Bake for 30 min. Remove and add fresh mozzarella and salt and pepper on top, and place back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Makes approx 48 turkey balls.
