It was two years ago this month that I started my photography business. I was a new mama and my love of photography had evolved into a newfound passion for capturing memories. I was overwhelmed with work and motherhood but took a leap of faith... and it has been so worth it. Photography has introduced me to some really incredible people over these last two years and for that I am so grateful. I have grown so much in this time, and despite the fact that the pandemic has put a pretty significant roadblock on this little business of mine (I can’t wait to do indoor sessions again and open my studio like I had planned!), I am proud of where it has gone in such a short period of time ♥️ Last week, I relaunched my website to celebrate this milestone. It has been a whole year in the making - life has been busy - and I’m SO happy it is finally done! Welcome to the new Alexia Ballantine Photography, friends!
It’s been a while since I posted photography content. The truth is, I’m having a hard time keeping up. The pandemic has had a huge impact on our day to day lives, and I’m continuing to maintain a part-time consulting job while splitting childcare and home duties with my husband. It’s a crazy time and social media has fallen by the wayside, but there are a lot of blessings amongst the chaos too. I’m grateful for the extra time at home as a family. I’m grateful for the new home we are building (despite the stress the pandemic had put on that situation too). I’m grateful that our loved ones have remained safe. I’m grateful for the means to survive through quarantine and not be in a situation where we are forced to be in harms way. There is so much good in the bad - sometimes you have to just look a little harder to find it. What are you thankful for during this crazy time?
I see you. I hear you. I feel you. I stand with you. ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 #blackouttuesday
Oh how I can’t wait to photograph tiny little babies again one day. Stay safe and stay home, friends ♥️
