UPDATE! Garden City has informed us that the issue with neighbors has to be formally appealed and scheduled even though they told property owner @victormyers August 23rd in email that no appeal was necessary. What does that mean? The meeting on Monday is solely for the issue of the rock retaining wall on the green belt not being to code. We appreciate all the support and encouragement and will keep you posted on any developments.
We need your help! If you have been to the bar recently you may have noticed an apartment building is practically in it. The structure was built too close to the property line and ended up crossing it. The builders suggested solution is to cut off part of the roof line. This doesn’t solve the problem of the building being approximately two feet closer than it was approved for and the bigger problem of the runoff water coming downhill to us. At the very least a revised drainage plan needs to be put into place based on where the building sits now. We have been dealing with this and no access to the river for the last two operating seasons. Please show up on September 9th at Garden City hall at 6:00 pm.
