Windsor park is one of the very few conservation parks in Singapore with native animals and birds still surviving. The visitors are requested not to disturb the nature in many ways and to stick to the tracks only. It’s a place to walk and try to spot birds, squirrels, monkeys. I have been fortunate to have spotted them for my painting research of the local jungle. Yesterday was a cool day and today back to 34 degrees. It’s nice to just fall into a special place like this which is a historical small centre of Singapore coffee. Nanyang was an old name for Singapore. “one aspect of the nation that has held onto old-time tradition despite this rush forward is its kopitiam culture (where “kopi” translates as the Malay word for “coffee” and “tiam” translates as the Hokkein word for “shop”).
