TRIGGER WARNING⚠️ Did you know it costs $40 to become a Beachbody coach? No certification required, just $40 and you can call yourself a Health Coach and start coaching others 🤔 Now I’m not here to bash beachbody coaches or the company. I’m simply bringing awareness to point out to the consumer, you, to do your research and ask questions before you hire a coach of ANY kind! If you were to ask me what my background was and how I got to where I am I’d be happy to tell you that I went through my own weight loss and binge eating journey which led me to wanting to help others achieve their goals too. I went through years of learning, researching, training, mentors, personal training certifications, nutrition certifications and actually training/coaching people in person at a gym before I ever started coaching people online. And it cost me way more than $40! The fitness industry is GREAT at marketing what is SEXY, FUN and EASY. But that’s not always the best thing for us. longterm. A good coach will get you results... But a GREAT coach will give you what you NEED for better HEALTH and SUSTAINABLE results. For example, if a client comes to me and says “I want to lose 15lbs” I say great we can definitely do that but tell me what you’re currently doing or have done in the past.... Let’s say she’s a hard core yo-yo dieter and her metabolism is super low because of it. I would tell Suzy that we need to first focus on getting her body back to “normal” before we can focus on the weight loss portion otherwise she’ll always be on another diet with the up and down weight loss cycle wondering why this isn’t working for her long term. The end goal is to lose 15lbs but in order to get there and to keep it off we need to deal with the real issue first. A coach who just wants to make money will not tell you what I just said. Why? Because it’s a lot easier to sell someone on “yeah I can help you lost 15lbs in 30 days, let’s do it!” Do your research and ask questions! Much love, Coach Court💗
I wouldn’t get a funnel cake because I thought people would judge me. 👀 “Look at the girl eating a funnel cake. She shouldn’t be eating that. She needs a salad.” I used to avoid fair food because I didn’t want to be judged. I didn’t want to be stared at especially if I was with my friends...my friends! Who would love me no matter what and yet I still let it bother me. Why did I have these negative thoughts that destroyed my inner dialogue? Because I’ve heard those thoughts. I’ve gotten the stares. I’ve felt the heaviness of people judging me for the way I looked. I’ve had to do a TON of inner work and really understand the what, why and how behind exercise and nutrition. I had to learn how to love myself. And let me tell you, the other side of all that frustration, overwhelm and disappointment is FREEDOM! Freedom to eat what you want and live the way you want! I’ve been in your shoes and I get it! But I also know what it’s like on the other side of the mountain and it’s SO WORTH IT! I took this picture knowing exactly what I was going to write about because in that moment I didn’t feel judged. 💯 I felt happy. Happy that I was able to eat what I wanted and still love myself. Still show up the next day like nothing happened. I had the corn dog. I got the funnel cake and you know what?! I got the ice cream too!🌭🍰🍨😍😋 It was a fun day. And the next day was just another day. No shame. No guilt. No beating myself up by doing hours of cardio or starving myself.🙅🏽♀️ I know you want that too! Because I WAS you!‼️ I know you’re reading this thinking how amazing that would be to be able to live your life without food controlling you.💕 Tell me, what are you struggling with when it comes to nutrition? How can I help?
4 WAYS TO LOSE BELLY FAT Did you know that excess belly fat can actually lead to diseases like type 2 diabetes and heart disease? Sure we initially want to lose the weight to look good But try shifting your focus more on your health risks. So what are some ways we can get rid of that fat around the middle?! Here’s 4 WAYS TO LOSE BELLY FAT: 1️⃣ Cut out processed food (this one’s a big one) Not only does it decrease your waistline But it also helps get rid of bloating. Think about it, the packaged foods that we all love had to have come from somewhere. A potato doesn’t just naturally turn into a chip. It has to be broken down, processed and mixed with other “Fillers” to taste good, look good and last longer. 2️⃣ Cut out sugary drinks like soda, alcohol, coffee, etc. Sugar is probably one of thee most harmful ingredients that affects our health. All of these drinks are liquid sugars which is EVEN WORSE! Your brain doesn’t register liquid sugar the same as solid calories So when you’re drinking sugary drinks, you start craving more food And end up eating more calories overall. I remember when I cut out pop (midwest term), I dropped 10 lbs just from that! To this day, I still choose water. 3️⃣ Eat more protein Protein not only helps build muscle (which in turn burns fat) It also helps you decrease cravings. It can increase your metabolism and decrease your hunger levels. 4️⃣ Drink more water There’s so many benefits to water, yet it’s a challenge For most of us to get enough water in for the day. Water helps keep you full and energized. It helps you stay focused so you don’t have those crashes that lead to cravings. It also helps flush out toxins and keep you regulated. I want you to CHOOSE one to focus on and go from there. Which ONE will you work on starting TODAY? #fatlosstips #weightlosstips
Happy Friday! #bodypositive tip of the day👇🏼✨💜 With mental health on the rise and social media not slowing down anytime soon, I wanted to share a little tip with you if you find yourself getting comparisonitis (comparing yourself to other people). When it comes to losing weight or wanting to look a certain way, a lot of people will have this unrealistic image they want to achieve. They start to follow girls who have this “ideal image” but what they don’t know is that body type might not be realistic for them. What I mean by this is if you have a body type like Beyoncé, you should start following more girls who have that body type. If you have a body type like Gigi Hadid, you should be following more accounts with that body type. Most people have it backwards. They have a Beyoncé body type but want a Gigi Hadid look and then get discouraged very quickly and give up because they think they’re a failure if they can’t see those results. Take my body type for example. I’m a mesomorph and endomorph (swipe left to see the 3 different body types) so naturally no matter how hard I work at it, my body will never look like Gigi Hadid (ectomorph). I got them hips and the booty 🍑 that ain’t going anywhere! All three body types are beautiful! And you can work hard at building muscle to build shape, but the structure of your body doesn’t change. Start focusing on the body type you have and which accounts you can follow for inspiration based on your body type. You are strong and beautiful✨ Tag someone below who needs a little positive love 💗 on their fitness journey👇🏼 • • • • #strongnotskinny #celebratingmybody #selfloveclub #igniteyourfire #strengthfeed #inspiringconfidence #strongher #constantlyimproving #balancedlife #selflovejourney #mindsetshift #bosswoman #fitspo #instagoals #healthandwellness #loveyourbody #selfcare #positivemindset #confidencetips
