I am a few days late, and a few dollars short. Here is a photo taken last night as I made a run out to Aldi in the pouring cats and dogs rain.

As you can see there was flooding in my small part of the world (this is Aldi's parking lot) We were supposed to be hit with a massive winterstorm and snowfall all throughout the night.

Sad to say, the kids around here won't be able to make a snowman, yet.

While I love this song, I picked it for this post today because of the title of the song. Who doesn't love a tater tot morning!!

A couple of years ago I was photographing a wedding at a Golf Club.

After dinner, the bride danced with her dad, and the groom danced with his mom. The dance floor was filled with guests that danced for hours when the dance floor was.officially open.

My legs, and brain need to find a place away from the crowd to decompress every so often while taking photos of the guests dancing.

Normally I don't like to sit down in view of the couple, or the parents of said couple. So I find a quiet, private spot out of view to sit down and clear my head.

This is the spot I found outside the reception room at this particular wedding. I absolutely loved the nighttime lighting from nature and the venue. Oh, and it was beginning to storm. Even better. The breeze was amazing and invigorating.

As I sat there resting my weary bones, my brain started firing ideas for bridal portraits using that location.

I took a couple photos to show the bride and groom the area with the night time lighting. They loved the ideas, but they were having way too much fun on the dance floor to stop and take a few.portraits.

Their day, their decision.

The best part of my ADHD superpower is that these cool nighttime portrait ideas will still be circulating in my brain, and will pop up for a visit the next time I am photographing at this venue.

Straight out of my camera because this is how this scene looked when we were there taking photos.

Also, my son gave his approval when I showed him the image on the back of the camera a few minutes after I shot this image.

There's nothing more that I could do to this image that could make it any better than the 'WOW' I heard from him.

I should clarify that that this is my son in this image.
He chose this spot to stop, and take photos. He was out of the car and heading down the small hill to the dock as I was still shutting off the car, and opening my door.

It was so foggy that I almost missed seeing which direction he had headed, but thankfully he had on these dark clothes that I barely spotted against the light thick fog.

This is the scene I saw while I was walking towards him as he was taking photos (Yes, the apple didn't fall far from the creative tree).

The fog stole the skyline.

Normally when driving down Lake Shore Drive I wish/hope the light stays green.

Today I hoped/wished I would catch a red light, so I could open my windows and take a quick photo of this unique sight. My wish was granted.

The Chicago skyline was completely covered by the thick fog.
