It's been a journey These pics don't show my pre-pregnancy struggles with thyroid, energy& digestive pain. From 2014-16, I felt cute in a bikini. But I napped DAILY & was doubled over in pain after eating. I was locked in a medical mystery that seemed impossible to untangle. Despite staying active during pregnancy I gained 58 lbs, developed gestational diabetes &the weight didn't "fall off" From the postpartum rollercoaster, breast implant illness, food sensitivities out the wazoo- Truly, I thought I might never feel like myself or lose the last 10lbs Eating out = stressful. My stomach would often be painfully bloated. Cross-contamination? A new food sensitivity? I prefer to eat at home where I know exactly what's going in. Somehow, by the grace of God, I now feel the BEST I've felt in my adult life. While there are still curveballs, I'm in sync w/ my body & it's actually working the way it is intended. I still can't eat gluten (or other yummy foods like pistachios, cauliflower, wild rice etc) but my world is opening up. My confidence has grown & I'm making up for lost time. So I want to offer some encouragement. I talk to so many women & moms who feel overwhelmed & demoralized. Health-wise, I tried so many things that I threw my hands in the air. Why bother when you feel bloated whether you eat super healthy or not? It's NOT just about weight- but the bigger I was, the smaller my world felt. I shrunk myself to avoid feeling any spotlight bc I didn't feel like ME. I appreciate self-love- but if you've tried your absolute hardest &your body just isn't responding, it's disheartening. I used to search Pinterest for Fitness Quotes. You'll see: Don't wish for it, Work for it Suck it up so you don't have to suck it in Great if that motivates you, but if you're struggling with an autoimmune disease, bootcamp style encouragement lands you in a world of fatigue & may even break your spirit If you are team turtle, keep your head up! It gets better. Baby step it. My advice- Start with an elimination diet. Work on improving gut health & add in a manageable level of activity. ⚠️It's impossible to share everything in an IG post but more to come!

🔸PARENTS🔸 How often do you go on a date night? And what do you think is a realistic goal? We are notoriously *the worst* at this 🤣because typically by 830p we both feel 😴 😴 But this month is BOTH Father’s Day and Rich’s birthday... I might need to step it up for this handsome man 😍😍 Somehow, when it comes to him, I’m the worst gift giver 🥴I try so hard but it never seems to pan out. So if you have ideas, please help a girl out!

When you’re twinning in both wardrobe AND weights Rich & I were laughing because I actually went out to buy 1 & 2 lb weights. Sounds like you’re a wimp until you workout with @elisejoanfitness She never lets you out of the burn zone 😅😅😅My 3 pounders were crushing me LOL Word of advice; if you’re going to do barre blend, get the light weights. You’ll be so thankful (randomly @fivebelow carries 1lb for $1.50)

Sometimes I feel a teeny bit like a Disney Princess hehe 👑 We always seem to be surrounded by animals - getting a little glimpse into their wild lives is one of our VERYYYY favorite things to experience From raccoons and woodpeckers...to dolphins and starfish, we are astonished by them all 😍😍 If you want to see more animals in nature, sloooowwww down and always keep your eyes peeled! Swipe to see our latest excitement! A little dolphin feeding frenzy (thanks to @suzannestewartart ‘s eagle eye! Dolphins often hunt in a group! One techniques they use is “sheep-herding” dolphins circle a group of fish to get them all in one place while others start eating in turns. That way, every dolphin gets to eat efficiently. 3 dolphins very swiftly created a little lunch spot near the beach!

Just as important as the workouts... all of the other stuff: ◽️sleep ◽️stress management ◽️nutrition ◽️gut health ◽️emotional well-being ◽️connection ◽️sense of purpose Alllll of these things that make us feel amazing ....can also add up to a bunch of OVERWHELM Seriously, how is one supposed to crush it in all areas? I love the wellness sphere but it EASILY becomes a rabbit hole that can engulf you and make you feel like you’re NEVER doing enough If you’re feeling this... Relax your shoulders Breathe in ( make your belly a balloon — what I tell Reese hehe) And go OUTSIDE I like to focus on sensations - the breeze on my skin, the birds chirping (or the woodpecker annihilating our tree 🤣🤣), the crunch of our crispy sun burnt grass haha Just 5 min outside gets me out of the overwhelm cyclone From there, just focus on one area at a time. I tend to start with my workouts because ACTION begets MORE action You build on each step as you’re able Slowly, habits form and open more mental space for deciding on the healthiest toothpaste and confidence in setting personal boundaries or personal goals Breathe in, breathe out Then begin {at your pace}

Sometimes you just have to gather up what you’ve got and make a run for it” 🦆 🐥 I’m not suggesting leaving any chickies behind hehe But this is the strategy I’ve used in life /business /motherhood /trips to the beach I’m all about PREPARING- but sometimes we get so caught up in prepping that we never end up DOING Seriously, a beach run can mean spending hours packing all of the toys, towels, lunch, umbrella etc...or you can just throw on your suit and gooooo 👙 I’ve done both and there’s something to be said for just diving in! Jump before you’re ready- because the “perfect time” or perfect circumstances just don’t exist

Many of you don't know this, but 10 YEARS ago I had a scary, audacious goal to grow my teeny business so I could quit my full-time job & *LITERALLY* throw away my alarm clock. 🔪 ⏰ 📌 it felt so far away, but I’d reaffirm my goal, "ONE DAY, I will have the freedom of CHOICE, build MY dream on my terms & my sphere of influence will be far greater than anything I can currently imagine. 📝I created a VISION. At 5am, I’d picture my dream future No matter what your vision for the future, what drives you, or what other people think, PUT ONE FOOT in front of the other. 🏃♀️ * the guy who invented the pool noodle became millionaire 🍝 15 months into building my business, my side gig was earning DOUBLE what I was making at my full time job. I reached my personal benchmark to quit my job but I was still nervous/scared. The opportunity to hop on a one-way flight to Santa Monica presented itself & I took the plunge! 🐻 I rented out my house in PA & found an apartment the day I landed in CA. I would wake up naturally, walk down to the beach &live my dream. 🏖 My work filled me w/ PURPOSE- so I was joyful to pursue it. Can you relate to being equal parts GO WITH THE FLOW // Uptight? I'm happy to see where the wind takes me but also like to anticipate every possible outcome. 🧐 I was STUCK in a retail mgmt position w limited opportunities so I’m grateful for my intuition & resolve💘 I went from working nights//weekends//holidays to having total ownership of my time.
