In action! 🌿🌿 Wedding ceremony installs have become one of my favourite parts of the job - each site has a different structure or location to ‘flower up’ and I love the challenge of figuring out the best way to do it - technically and creatively. I also enjoy thinking of creative ways to reuse ceremony florals so they can be enjoyed throughout the entire evening, not just during the short ceremony. We had just a few minutes following the ceremony to dismantle the floral pieces on this arch to take them inside to repurpose and I was able to do that using just my @leathermancanada FREE P4 multitool in my back pocket to quickly snip all of the mechanics holding the flowers to the arch. We then boogied all this inside to make something new and special (the fireplace mantle from just a few images back in my feed!). #UnknownMultiPurpose #ForRealLife #sponsored
We put the first coat of paint on our pink living room today and I’m so excited about it! 🎉 Getting a new (well, actually very old!) house right at the start of wedding season has made these first few months of home ownership a little slow (time has been a bit limited 😅) but having our first room almost completed to how we want it feels like good progress ✅
An early fall feel for Alex today 🌿
Fireplace arrangements are my favourite to make 🌿 Fun fact: this was actually repurposed from the ceremony archway in about 5 minutes following the ceremony 😅
I’ve definitely learned over the years that the key to a successful wedding set up is a well prepared set up kit! I’m never without zip ties of all sizes, 3 kinds of tape, countless sizes of wire, string and ribbon, chicken wire and the list goes on. Until recently I was using my pruning shears to cut pretty much everything but ribbon (yes, bad, I know 🤦🏻♀️) but I’ve now added a multitool - the @leathermancanada FREE P4 to my set up kit which I use to cut chicken wire, zip ties, and double sided tape during installs (because if you have ever tried to cut double sided tape with pruning shears you will know the struggle 😂). It’s amazing how many uses I have found for it (they don’t call it a multi-tool for nothin’, folks!) and it’s definitely saving my precious pruning shears so I don't use them for anything but their intended purpose ✂️🌿Sharing a peek into my entire set up kit over on my stories today…wedding friends, is there anything you have in yours that I am missing? #UnknowMultipurpose #ForRealLife #sponsored
It’s always fun to ‘flower up’ a tree 🌳 🌸 Happy holiday Monday, Friends!
