Fathers Day Breakfast was a huge success! Over 40 Dads and other significant males came to our annual feast and celebration! There were banana muffins, watermelon, cereal, beans on toast and lots of fun and games! The children even took their adults outside for some fun in the sun. @ldbslat #makingmemories #breakfast #fathersday #smiles #family

Just a few snippets from our incredible Forest School as we explored ropes further over the past few weeks. We are getting rather innovative with using our knots to create, pulleys, tire tube pulling game, a way to move objects- all sorts of creativity. We also spread more wildflower seeds, dug in the mud, made potions and built dens to keep us protected from the elements! Forest school is lots of fun, in the rain and sun!!!! #ldbslat

Njinga Mbandi are fraction whizzes! We have been learning to halve and quarter objects and quantities. Our mathematical language is growing every day… sharing, equal, split, divide, part of, whole… our brains are expanding every day. Not only that, we also have times to read for our enjoyment. We are so good at our phonics that now we choose almost any book and are confident giving it a go! You are flourishing, Year 1! #ldbslat

Holy Trinity Football Team, or HTFC as the children have named us, were proud to receive their match day jerseys. We are absolutely thrilled for our upcoming matches against @southgroveprimary and @stannsschn15. The sense of pride and Koinonia we’ve instilled is clear to see and we’re looking forward to letting our light shine when representing our school. @ldbslat

This week in y3 for our new science topic “plants” we explored pocket park with all the amazing greenery there is and thought to label all the plants we discovered and different names for different parts of the plant I.e stem. We then spoke about all the nutrients plants may need for sustenance.

Reception have been exploring the parable of the Wise and Foolish builders in RE. Working together in teams, they built houses on sand and solid ground and discovered the importance of teamwork, encouragement and supporting one another. Just like a house needs strong foundations, we know that kindness and cheering each other on help us build something truly special 🤩🏠 #RE #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #receptionclass #outdoorlearning

What an experience Njinga Mbandi had today being young chefs. We were very thankful to have Chef Emma in this morning to create a glorious yoghurt, granola and seasonal fruit pot. It linked perfectly with our Science learning about seasons and produce and the varying textures of fresh, frozen and dried fruit. Our yoghurty grins from ear to ear say it all. Big thank you to Chef Emma @serving_smiles_ldbstrust. We are so grateful. @ldbslat
