BLOGGED // Thanks to COVID19 @gabepclark & @reata’s wedding was on again off again leading right up until about a week before the wedding. But Wyoming lifted restrictions just in time, allowing for the full wedding they’d been planning for, one that was witnessed by a crowd that was so happy to be there to celebrate with them.⠀ ⠀ So much of their wedding fell together exactly how it was meant to be and it felt so right. It was such a joy to be apart of it all. #blackouttuesday “So many of us look at the world through our small, individual views and put up blinders when we see fit so as to not inconvenience ourselves. Just because something doesn’t happen to you or a movement doesn’t affect you does not mean it doesn’t exist or has validity.” - @clickthompson

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Took my Christmas Decorations down a few days ago and am so incredibly excited to kick off the next decade! I know it’s May. Shhh. I’m pretending the last 4 months didn’t happen. Mkay? A lot of you knew that I choose to take 2019 and make it a year of rest and refocus as I neared my 10th year in business. It was inspired by a few things, but rooted in the Jewish agriculture “shmita”...where every 7 years is a year of rest. It was first terrifying, then boring, then really really boring. I did a lot of twitching. If you follow my personal account @callmelynz you saw it first hand. I bought real live plants, made it a life goal to master the application of false eyelashes, lost 50lbs, read parenting books...even decided I was gonna become a runner. But beneath all that, it forced me as an enneagram 8w7 to really quiet my heart and mind and sit with myself. It gave me the opportunity to reflect on the past, evaluate my current priorities and help me choose what I wanted to carry with me into the next 10 years. The result was clarity. SO MUCH CLARITY. January 1st was going to be a big day for me. I was going to make it a celebration of my year of rest and kick off of the dreams I have for the new decade. And in all the middle of all the actual living hell we’ve been thru since I woke up in 2020 sicker than a dog (and even tho some days it was shadowed with legitimate doubts) I still knew deep down that 2020 was the start of a great new season. AND IT IS! So...Happy 2020 everyone! #lgp_couples #lyndseygarberphotography #realcowboycouple

As a result of COVID-19...I’m putting a hold on booking new 2020/2021 wedding dates.⠀ ⠀ This is so that my schedule can remain as open and flexible as possible for my currently booked couples whose plans are (or may) be effected.⠀ ⠀ Once all my currently booked clients (that need too) have finalized plans for postponed dates (and once the world takes a chill-pill) I will be reopening the schedule. Keep looking to the future. This too shall pass! ❤️⠀ ⠀ #lyndseygarberphotography #stayhome #covid19 ⠀

It’s been quiet around here lately. Which is definitely NOT that start I had planned for 2020. And while I sure don’t understand it all, I do know one thing: Gods timing is perfect.⠀ ⠀ I’ve shared a little here and there on my personal account @callmelynz, but long story short. Since the beginning of the year I’ve had the rug jerked out from under my health. While we still have no definitive answers and a lot of things still don’t make sense, I now have an amazing doctor working to get me back on my feet. So far all we’ve had is good news with test results and think we’ve ruled out some of the bigger (scarier) suspects...like Multiple Sclerosis.⠀ ⠀ But while that’s all 🙌🏻...whatever it is, my symptoms were progressing pretty rapidly. So I recently started a drug that is often used to help treat neurological autoimmune diseases.⠀ ⠀ And it’s working. Hallelujah it’s WORKING.⠀ ⠀ So while it’s frustrating that the clients and adventures I had booked for early 2020 have been postponed due to COVID-19...turns out I needed this season to focus on building my strength and getting back on my feet.⠀ ⠀ See. Perfect timing.⠀ ⠀ Also who else is OVER IT ALREADY. 🙋♀️⠀ ⠀ #lgp_couples #lyndseygarberphotography

I usually don’t shoot maternity/family photos. But when I do, it’s for my past wedding couples. Mostly just for an excuse to get to hug their necks again! Love these two some much and I’m was so tickled to photograph their “love story continued” as they enter their next season! 10 years ago I launched my photography as an official business. 12 years ago someone paid me $75 for a shoot. 15 years ago I spent more on my first professional camera than I did my first car. 23 years ago I found a hand-me-down 35mm camera in a box of junk and did extra chores to earn rolls of film. Photo from 2010 of Mouse & Aya. The ORIGINAL #lgp_couples. Nothing happens overnight. Ps. 9 year ago I loaned said precious-cost-more-than-my-car-camera to a cowboy I barely knew so he could help photograph his buddies wedding. I married him a few months later. ⠀ #lyndseygarberphotography #realcowboycouple
