Happy New Year! I know I’m a week late but better late than never! I spent the last part of 2019 wrapping up some gorgeous weddings and shoots, turning my sites to 2020 planning, and flying to New Zealand for 2.5 weeks! It was an incredible trip and I was totally checked out of social media so I’ll be posting some trip highlights in my story soon along with a look back at 2019! Im looking forward to 2020 and all of the possibilities, collaborations, and opportunities it will hold!! . Photo @darcybenincosa
I’ve had flowers on the brain every day for months so I figured even though the course is officially closed, I’d ease my way out and share this beauty designed by @all_things_extraordinary for a @ponderosa_and_thyme 1:1 workshop ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The past year has been full of flowers for me and I’m not mad about it. I’m starting off 2020 shooting a gorgeous workshop with @sweetrootvillage and @amynicolefloral just down the road in Alexandria, VA and I can’t wait! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re a florist hosting a workshop next year and looking for the perfect photographer to capture behind the scenes, headshots, and more - shoot me a DM or an email!!
Florists!! Don’t miss out!! The hours are counting down until my online course *Photography For Florists* closes!! Having the skill set to photograph your flowers in an elevated way is something that industry pros know is a MUST! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @lavendersflowers quipped, “if a florist makes a centerpiece and there isn’t a good photo of it, did it even exist?” And it is SO TRUE! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Letting your work walk out the door without having taken beautiful photos yourself is such a gamble and so anxiety inducing! Will you get photos back? Will they be the best angle of your pieces? Will the photographer’s style match your own? Will you be able to use any photos to market your business to get MORE BUSINESS?? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These are all questions that florists have always had to worry about - until now! This course is packed full of every diagram, visual, reference sheet, and more to leave you feeling completely empowered and to take back control! And the best news? It’s all about using your camera phone so no need to worry about professional equipment! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ BONUS!! If you buy by tonight, you get my Editing Guide as a free bonus!!! This guide teaches you exactly how to put that professional polish on your images to create a consistent, elevated visual presence!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t miss out, there’s only hours left until the doors close!! We visited one of the most beautiful gardens when we were in Morocco earlier this year. It had everything from gorgeous orange trees to cacti of every kind to tons and tons of that gorgeous bougainvillea! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I can’t stop myself, I’m always drawn to the pops of color and life that these plants and flowers lend to whichever city we’re in. Sometimes my phone is the only camera I have on me and I love knowing I can still take amazing photos of our adventures with this simple yet powerful tool. Want to up your phone photography game? My online course *Photography For Florists* is on sale until Nov. 5th and teaches you absolutely everything you need to know to take gorgeous photos of flowers and more! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Link in profile for the course and ask me any questions below!
