  • Many times, when we hear of a highly trained vocalist having vocal health issues, they are more related to speaking habits. Most trained successful singers are highly aware of utilizing good technique when they are singing but don’t always focus on the very important carryover of that technique to their speaking. ⁠

Our “speaking voice” and our “singing voice” are one in the same! If you know you’ve got a lot of speaking ahead of you, warm up your voice just as you would for singing. Make a purposeful effort not to strain, just as you would when singing.⁠

If you take the time to focus on efficient, resonant sound when speaking, just as much as you do when singing, your voice will thank you! 🗣💛
