• The leaves & berries were meant to be blind letterpress. But Bruce🕺🏼(our expert letterpress printer) wasn’t happy. So we took a few pics and sent it to the designer @haviandbash along with Bruce’s recommendation of a slightly darker shade to the stock - Gmund Colors Merlot. This job had lots of processes to it and we wanted the client to be absolutely delighted with the end result. After @haviandbash consulted with Liberty 👰 + Rodney 🤵 we got the go-ahead to change the original specs. This is the result... .. Process: White ink digital with variable data (guest names) on Gmund Merlot 300gsm, duplex to 600gsm. Letterpress print in Custom-mixed PMS deeper-than-Merlot & edge foiled in 385 Gold. .. Thankfully I’ve brought a few print samples down with me ‘cos I’m finding all sorts of fabulous backgrounds amongst the old timber huts to photograph them against. I don’t actually see myself as being very creative you know. I might run a very creative business but unlike my clever sister @sharonpeterkinartist , I can’t draw (I even draw bad stick people). But I do enjoy taking photos of work my team have produced from the amazing designs supplied by our clients. It’s so lovely to have all the time in the world while on holidays to spot, position, snap - play. I can feel under pressure to keep up with taking photos. I think I prefer this way...maybe I need to make a NY resolution to create more time to slow down a bit so I can enjoy this creative pastime a little more in 2020. 🤔
