🥝 ARK Skincare - age defend 🥝 [Ad gifted] Happy Tuesday! Today a couple of items I've just added to my skincare routine. ARK Skincare Age Defend - a range specifically for those in their 30s and 40s. ~ @arkskincare is a British skincare brand and what I love about them is that they treat the skin by age and skin concern. They use natural ingredients and combine antioxidants with lipids and vitamins. 🥝 Age Defend Conditioning Cleanser: to cleanse, gently exfoliate and boost elasticity. Key ingredients: Kiwi and Passionfruit lipids to quench the skin, Blue Lotus which acts as an antioxidant, Vitamin A, Moringa Oil and Prickly Pear which contain Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to boost firmness and form a barrier to prevent moisture loss. The cleanser calms redness and softens the look of fine lines and wrinkles. 🥝 Age Defend Replenishing Moisturiser: Anti-Ageing and anti-wrinkle treatment moisturiser to smooth out wrinkles, plump the skin and work against premature ageing. Key ingredients: Co-enzyme Q10 for anti-wrinkle, Shea butter and Kiwi and Passionfruit lipids to hydrate, collagen boosting Vitamin A and antioxidant Blue Lotus to firm the skin, and make it look plump and fresh. The moisturiser has an airless pump system which is not only hygenic but also dispenses just the right amount you need. ~ I can't tell you much about my review yet as I have just started using these, but looking at the ingredients I think I'm in for a treat! These products are cruelty free and vegan friendly 🌿 Have you tried ARK Skincare?

[Ad gifted] Let's talk hand creams. Do you use them and if so do you have a favourite? ~ It's the one thing I cannot live without and I always carry one in my handbag. In today's stories, I showed you some new releases by @antipodesskincare and I love the sound of this Jubilation Ultra Nourishing Hand & Body Cream! ~ It's a pure bomb of goodness! It contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 that easily absorb into the skin, and Vitamin A, C and E to provide your skin with all the nutrients it needs to give it that boost. Some of the active ingredients are: 🥝 Superfruit Kiwi Seed Oil, Wild Blackcurrant & Feijoa (Yes, I had to look up what that was too!). Have you tried any Antipodes Skincare? Let's chat all about it in the comments!
S5 CALM SERUM [Ad - gifted] Suffering from redness sucks. Luckily there is the @s5skincare Calm Serum which has been my rock this season. What's yours? ~ It's specifically designed to calm and protect sensitive skin prone to redness, but also protects the skin against pollution, radiation, chemical stress and skin ageing. Active Ingredients: 💧 Northern Truffle - When I think of truffle I think of food, but truffle is actually anti-inflammatory. In this case it's used to reduce the appearance of redness and irritation. 💧 Desert Glycoproteins - This ingredient is taken from rare bacteria that live in the Wadi Desert which has a very extreme ecosystem and is one of the harshest and driest areas in the world. It's an amino acid that protects cells from heat, frost, dryness and environmental stress. In this case, it's used in the S5 Calm Serum to form a protective shield that protects the skin, as well as increasing hydration by 30%. I love how soothing it feels. 💧 LMW Hyaluronic Acid - Also known as Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid. I think most of you are to some extent aware of what Hyaluronic Acid does. It hydrates, soothes and plumps the skin. It makes this serum so refreshing! The S5 Calm Serum is 99.6% natural and 42% organic. ~ Available through s5skincare.com
[Ad - gifted] What's your opinion on false lashes? Do you love them or hate them? Do you wear them? And if you do, are they a daily thing, or more something to fit the occasion? ~ I kind of have a love-hate relationship with falsies. I love the way they look, but I hate applying them. Other people make it look so easy, but I struggle like crazy to get those corners to stay attached and get the thing even remotely close to my actual lash line! The struggle is real, let me tell you!! 😥 If you have any tips, please do let me know, because I could sure use them! ~ I got these @eylureofficial lashes from @welovelashes and if you are a fan of lashes, do check them out because the amount of styles and brands they offer is unreal. There is definitely something for everyone and they offer free 1st class UK delivery! 🤩
SPLASH Hydrating Setting Mist *Ad - gifted, but all opinions are 100% my own* Last week I showed you an amazing affordable setting spray, today a high end one by @algenist. I have been so impressed by their products ever since I was introduced to them! ~ The SPLASH Hydrating Setting Spray: 💧Hydrates 💧Refreshes 💧Sets Makeup It's a serum in spray form and has such a lovely fine mist (something a lot of setting sprays lack!). it's perfect for the warm weather to keep your face feeling so refreshed and I love how it holds my makeup in place all day. ~ Active ingredients: 💧Mineral enriched seawater + watermelon extract to nourish the skin. 💧Alguronic Acid + Algae derived complex to lock in moisture and encourage cell renewal. ~ 💧 Top Tip: Leave in the fridge before applying for an extra cooling, refreshing effect on those super hot days! ~ What's your favourite Algenist product?
Happy Hump Day Insta Fam! I don't know if you remember, but at the start of June, @aldiuk released some new @pixibeautyuk dupes and I asked you whether you wanted me to compare them to the Pixi products, so here is your first installment: The retinol tonic! ~~~ 💜 First up: the packaging. There are obvious similarities, but the main difference that is noticable straight away, is that the Pixi Retinol Tonic focuses on Retinol and Jasmine Flower, whereas the Lacura Healthy Glow Retinol Tonic first mentions 5% Niacinamide, an ingredient the Pixi toner does not have. 🌸 Ingredients: If you look at the list of ingredients, the ones mentioned at the top have the highest percentage and the ones at the bottom the lowest. Bearing this in mind, the amount of Niacinamide in the Aldi toner must be reasonably good because it's listed as the second ingredient after water. Retinol is mentioned about halfway down the list on both toners. There is however a difference in plant/flower ingredients. The Pixi tonic contains a number of flower/plant extracts, but the Aldi toner contains mostly plant (essential) oils which I must say I'm not a fan of. 👩 So how does this translate in user experience? I have used both toners side by side for about a month now. The Lacura Healthy Glow has a very strong, unappealing fragrance. I find it too overpowering and it doesn't smell as natural as the subtle, light scent the Pixi tonic has. When applying the toners, the Pixi Retinol Tonic feels light and is absorbed nicely, leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed. The Lacura toner on the other hand leaves a sticky layer and I really feel like I'm wearing men's aftershave 😂. I imagine the sticky feeling and scent are caused by the essential oils the Lacura toner contains. The only thing I can say though, is that the Lacura toner has brightened my skin because of the Niacinamide which is nice. Although the Lacura Healthy Glow Retinol Toner has a price tag of £3.99/250ml whereas the Pixi Retinol Tonic sets you back £18/250ml, I would say that the Pixi Tonic is really worth the money and I would stick with that one! I'm sorry Aldi, but it's a no from me! 🙅 Have you tried it?
PURPLE VIBES How y'all doing? It has been absolutely aaaages since I've done an eyelook for you guys, so I thought I'd treat you on this fine Tuesday. Setting Sprays - Do you use them and which are your faves? ~ One of my all-time faves is the @catrice.cosmetics Longlasting Prime & Fine Multitalent Fixing Spray. It has a super fine mist and sets my makeup perfectly to last throughout the day without any touchups. It's also one of those useful products that you can use for multiple things. You can use it under makeup to prep your face, as a setting spray on top of makeup, or throughout the day to rehydrate and refresh. Next to the longlasting version, there is an illuminating one for a dewy, glowy look, and the matt finish to eliminate any unwanted shine. The only downfall? I wish it came in a bigger size because I am almost out! ~ I picked this beauty up for €4.59/50ml when I was visiting family abroad.
