Although Summer coming to an end is a bit of a sad time of the year... it does mean that delicious comfort food is back on the menu! . This recipe for dauphinoise potatoes has become a family favourite - perfect for warming up after a windy day. Serve with a big garden salad and a good splash of Tobasco sauce! . INGREDIENTS: 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes (skin on) 1 cup pouring cream 1 cup milk 100-125g goats cheese (4-5 cubes) 2 tablespoons of garlic marinade 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 heaped teaspoon of ground nutmeg Salt and Pepper to taste . *** If using our plain chèvre, simply substitute out the garlic marinade for 1 clove of garlic (minced), 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a sprig of thyme, and extra black pepper. . . Method: Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Thinly slice potatoes using a mandolin and lay flat into an oven-proof dish. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour evenly over the top of the potatoes. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a nice brown crust has formed.

Our open-walled sheds are well ventilated and let in plenty of natural light. The girls are free to roam as they wish - but more often than not you’ll find them out of the elements playing amongst the straw
